Features
- * A compact normal-length fixed-focus lens designed for Canon EF-mount DSLR cameras, pairing a classic 50mm focal length with a bright f / 1.8 maximum aperture for a variety of situations.
- * The lens can also be used with APS-C format DSLRs, offering an 80mm equivalent focal length.
- * Multi-coated glass elements reduce the effects of lens flare and ghosting to improve contrast and maintain color accuracy.
- * The seven-blade diaphragm helps achieve smooth out-of-focus quality when using selective focus technology.
- * The AF / MF switch allows quick switching between focus methods, and the lens can focus up to 1.5 feet to accommodate shooting close-up subjects. Note: Because the lens uses a DC motor, there is a motor-driven sound when focusing, so the ability to shoot video is slightly weaker.

Excellent for portrait work and creative shots
I admit I was slow to jump on the bandwagon for purchasing a 50 mm lens and purchased this to see how often I would use it before making the investment in a brand name lens for my Canon camera. But out of the box worked amazing. They say it is better to invest in good glass than fancy equipment for your photography and I tend to agree. But for the price this lens is well worth the money spent on it and arrived quickly and well padded. Came with everything I needed to put it on my camera and start shooting with no need for anything special added to the mix. No conversion adapter, no special filter required, snapped onto the body of my canon and I was ready to shoot. A little loud in the focusing but using my smart phone was easy to focus in what I wanted and get some truly amazing self portraits with. Prefer to experiment with my own images before I take any new equipment to do a clients work. Am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this is a necessary lens for a beginner photographer to learn more about their art and get some amazing shots with.

Best Lense I Ever Used
I have had the pleasure of using this lens in my pictures. I seen so many videos about this lens and heard it was a good pick. I had to order one and some of the photos came out beautifully. I recommend this lens to anyone who is starting out in photography.

Good inexpensive portrait lens.
I didn’t have super high hopes for the inexpensive lens but it surprised me. It is good in low light and the portraits came out looking amazing!

used on a Canon rebel eos t6!
Fast shipping which is always great, Lens does take a few seconds longer to focus, but when I’m focus it’s great!! I did a few hour long shoot to figure out settings which I highly suggest!
Over all great purchase!
Over all great purchase!

Best starter lens!
This lens is great if your just starting out and need a solid prime lens. Having a lens that goes to 1.8 is critical for that cinema look or just getting some amazing portraits. For being 50$ this lens has held up over time, despite the plastic construction. The only issue with this lens is that the rubber piece that goes over the focus ring fell off a while ago, think it just got loose over time. Still works fine though.

Good product
If there is some thing that bothers me is when people review an item based on the wrong facts. This is for sure a cheap frame lens but he does what he supposed to and for the price you can’t beat it about the auto focus I don’t use it. I do all manual settings because I’m trying to get deeper into photography. The quality is pretty good and I’m using a rebel T6 camera and I am a rookie The little that I know I have learned from YouTube and research but with patience and research this can be a nice lens for your collection from portrait pics to landscape (to an extend of course lol) it’s not meant wide photography. Here’s some pics last one was a quick shoot as it started to snow here.

Hello. I don't use it at all. Unfortunately it wasn't a good buy. It fits the EOS 1300d, so also the 550d. LG

Hello, 50mm fixed focal length, so just "go-zoom". The price is already going up, but the quality of the lens isn't the best, but it's usable. Keywords: Louder focus motor, rickety focus ring in manual mode, no image stabilizer. But very bright and beautiful bokeh with aperture 1.8-2.8 and still unbeatable cheap!
