Yep thats right. If there is something generating enough heat on the other side of a barrier, this thing is sensitive enough to "see" it. In my case I was able to locate a rat's nest above my living room through the ceiling just from the heat signature. You can see your footsteps on the floor minutes after walking on it in either shoes or bare feet. From personal experience, this device has a similar temperature resolving capability to military grade tactical FLIR. A great value, very well made sturdy casing. Everything about it is nice.

Easy to set up on android it ulitizes your wifi so have booth your phone and the thermal camera charged, this is one of the better models that is wireless meaning you dont necessarily need to have this plugged in to the phone you or better yet a tablet for a larger screen to display what is being seen.

This can see through quite well at day but it really shines at night. It has great range for being so compact.
After a couple months of use its been one of my favorite gadgets ive gotten to use for fun and actually help me around the house.

This is a bargain. It has a solid feel in the hand and good fit and finish. It has pretty good sensitivity and a great resolution and refresh rate, especially for the price. The picture is clear and it has multiple color palettes to choose from. If you want to get a thermal camera but don't have thousands of dollars to burn then I 100% recommend this unit. The only cons are that it takes a while to startup and you have to remember to let it buffer before it gets to the full frame rate.

I really like this product. I use it in the cooler seasons to help me gauge how my bees are doing.

So handy for checking your projects for hotspots. That is true for the whole house! The different color pallets come in very handy depending on the device/distance. Easy to use and accurate. Wish these were cheaper in general but for this price point it’s a solid buy.

I don't know that I truly "NEED" this tool, but I love it. It works very well. The features are well suited to my needs. As far as accuracy goes, it seems pretty good. I'll be taking this to a customer site before long. I think it will do exactly what it is intended to do.

This is a great, easy-to-use product and I highly recommend it for professionals or anyone who wants to screen their own home for moisture or temperature differences.

I have been using this for a variety of reasons mainly using it to find thermal hotspots in my home but also for hunting. I will say that this thermal imager is exceptionally easy to set up and the app is actually pretty decent, the quality of the image is pretty high and it is pretty sensitive to heat , I'm able to place my hand on a wall and Pull It Away immediately and I can see my handprint for a few seconds through the thermal Imager. I am able to be about 30foot from my phone and still get good signal so that's awesome . As I stated I've been using this for looking at my walls see how the insulation is and I can very usually see where the warm spots are my home. But I can also use this for hunting on cool nights, when the nights are pretty cool and the ground cools down I'm able to spot animals using this Imager a good distance away. So my overall opinion is this is a great thermal imager it functions flawlessly and it is pretty compact so it is easy to always keep on you.

This camera appears to be built very well. My intention for it's use is very limited. It has much more capability than I will use. I am an electrician and I ordered this specifically to quickly scan and locate hot spots inside electrical panels at a glance, I have no need for all of the fancy features, so I can't address those.

I got this thermal camera to cut down on my energy bills, because there is a breeze all throughout the house and we wanted to know where it was coming from and let me tell you, it was an eye-opener. The camera itself is really well-made and easy to use. The battery lasted for all my scans around the house, and the app connected to my phone relatively easily. There's even a bunch of settings to get the best picture out of the camera.

I walked around the house scanning around the windows and the doors, and I found quite a few cracks where the heat was escaping and we were able to make a plan to have those fixed up, so this little machine is really quite impressive !

Now, this camera seems like it can be used for more than just saving on energy. I read this can be used to locate living things in the wild, and we have MANY critters walking around the garden at night so we’ll definitely use the camera to locate the little buddies and see where they go and where they’re from.
The app is super easy to use and has a bunch of color options, but I did find that the phone clip wasn't strong enough for bigger phones, and it’s kinda wobbly.

I don’t think i’d carry this in my pocket as well because it doesn’t seem to be built super tough, so not for climbing mountains or anything, and at that price, you don’t want to drop it between two rocks. But for a regular homeowner like me, this thing is perfect.
