Secure. The Lumix also has a 1/4 inch connection for a tripod. So that should be fine.

I guess so. If your binoculars have the same threaded socket as those of standard SLR cameras, this shouldn't be a problem. But I haven't tried it personally yet.

So far there have been no problems with my Sony camera + Sigma 150-600 (together over 2 kg). Of course, this assumes that the legs are completely folded out.
