Yes works great burning photos. I do mostly wood with lightburn software. You'll need some software to import the photo format and generate the toolpath as well as lookup or do some testing to find the right material parameters for the results you want.

Hello, it works if you paint the surface black first, then after engraving, remove the paint. If the surface is highly reflective, the laser power will just reflect off the surface, and potentially destroy the lasers if it reflects back into the lasers.

Yes! Its 10W powerful output makes engraving on metals a breeze. But make sure you darken its surface like using a tape before engraving.
