Hi! To use a lens cap or hood with the variable ND filter, you need to increase the filter size for them by a standard filter size, as the outer glass of the filter is larger to avoid vignetting. If you use 67mm filters, you need 72mm lens hoods.

I always do this with a soft cloth.

The front diameter is larger than the back diameter of this filter. Back thread (attach to lens): 82mm. Front thread (attach additional filter/other accessories): 86mm.
