Sorry, it doesn’t support a phone connection. 

If it’s a WiFi issue, just put a wireless router or hotspot inside the hanger with the console. But you are probably talking about the 433 MHz RF signal between the sensor and console. My sensor is located above a patio roof with 26 gauge corrugated steel roofing and it works fine through that and a house wall. You can try moving the sensor and console closer together, even if the console needs to be out of site in the rafters. You can then view your data from whatever weather website you connect to.

You can but with one downside, itll not carry audio out for you. As in, the receiver takes over the entire audio pipeline. So you cant hear when the other person is talking.
