I had been looking at a few more expensive brands for a compact and versatile video/photo light, but this one seemed to tick all the boxes, with the flexibility of a full RGB light to vary the colour temperature and various 'effects' as well as, a long battery life (more than most), robust aluminium body, built in mounting arm, coldshoe mount and ball head. It is very bright and has a nice little display on the back telling you function you are in/colour temperature, brightness level and remaining battery. Others have mentioned about a VERY high pitch whistle when at low power, and this is something that I can also hear when at 30% power or below, but it is very quiet and I do have to have it at about 5cm or closer to my ear to even hear, and goes immediately and completely at higher power levels more than 30%. And I do find the power switch a little awkward to turn on off, it is a very flush slider with little grip, but that is it..all other aspects of the light are great.
