Problems solved by changing memory card format settings.
Excellent, but if yours won't record video, it may be a card format issue rather than a problem with settings or a fault. This model will take a 64GB card, but the format must not have a 128kb allocation unit size which may be its default. Re-format on a PC with the setting changed to 32kb. With the wrong format the camera will take stills but not write video files and the batteries will flatten very quickly.
