Easy to use, does what it says on the tin, very good instructions
Verified Purchase In a nutshell: Good price-performance ratio, works flawlessly. And to anticipate it right away: It is our first telescope, so the evaluation does not take place in comparison to other telescopes. Motivation / expectations: We gave the telescope to our 10 year old for his birthday as an introduction to astronomy. It should be able to be operated by him under the guidance of an adult and be suitable for carrying out simple observations of the moon and, if necessary, stars / constellations / star clusters. It works flawlessly, the price-performance ratio seems very good to me. Application: The assembly of the telescope and its accessories as well as the assembly on the included tripod are very simple and have been carried out repeatedly by us. Even after repeated assembly and dismantling of all parts, everything holds together very neatly, the compression fittings for fixing the adjustments still tighten firmly. The entire construction is reasonably stable, but of course sensitive to touch / light bumps. Operating instructions: This point is briefly described separately here. Due to other experiences, I did not have high expectations of the operating instructions. But I was very positively surprised here. The instructions have 5 languages, I am only referring to the German-speaking part. The choice of words, spelling and grammar are mostly good, and all chapters are clearly described. In particular, the assembly instructions go ahead in well-structured steps and are provided with easily recognizable photos. Furthermore, there are important warning notices first steps (e.g. adjustment of the finder scope), instructions for observing the moon and basic knowledge of how telescopes work. This is exactly how operating instructions should look like. Conclusion: The purchase was worth it: In a few days (or nights) we found joy in the telescope and we achieved quick results with the observations. Recommended for beginners.
