Impeccable product - assuming fast and precise procedure
used to always bring my DSLR to be cleaned, but it cost €30 each time. Thanks, never again! Then I came across these swabs and I just cleaned the sensor on my Nikon D800 - worked perfectly. It is important when cleaning the sensor that you work quickly and precisely, and this is how I proceed: I bought a bottle of pure ethanol at the pharmacy. I put so much of this on a swab that it's slightly soaked. Then I pull the swab with gentle pressure slightly inclined over the sensor and immediately with also gentle pressure and slight inclination in the opposite direction - done. The whole thing should take place within a few seconds because ethanol is volatile and binds humidity, which creates streaks on the sensor. I've read the critical reviews, my opinion on this: Of course there can be production defects, but I assume it's not used correctly. I think individual packaging is unnecessary, if you are careful and cut the pack instead of tearing it open, you won't get any dust on the other swabs. My conclusion: Impeccable product - assuming a quick and precise cleaning procedure.
