THE bargain low-light lens
This lens is outstanding for the price. I have used it on a Canon Rebel SL2, and a Canon 6D. I originally bought it for the SL2, because it has a crop sensor, and my Canon 50mm F1.8 wasn't wide enough (because it's effectively about an 80mm lens on the crop sensor).
Overall, the picture quality is great. The auto focus is a bit slower - and definitely noisier - than my Canon 50mm, but the resulting images are on-par. I end up using this lens quite a lot, and often just throw it in my bag just in case I need it for a low-light shot. Plus if I lose it or break it, I'll just buy another one!
One note - this lens does NOT have image stabilization (nor does my Canon 50mm F1.8). I doubt ANY lenses at this price point do. It just means that I have to speed up my shutter speed a bit to avoid shake/blur. The slowest I'll go is 1/80s, unless I have something to lean on to stabilize (or obviously a tripod). For a while I thought I was getting soft images because of the lens, or having the aperture set to low and missing focus on the right spot... but it ended up just being good ol' camera shake.
