A well-made creative/stylistic tool.
Given the current interest in anamorphic lenses (and the effects they produce), it's nice to have a reasonably affordable option to recreate the most commonly desired effect (streaks of light) without buying and learning a complicated/cumbersome anamorphic setup need to use effectively, or spend a lot of money on one of the newer modern anamorphic lenses. The build quality is good, perfectly functional and in line with what I would expect at this price point. This filter is a very specific creative tool that I will use in very specific situations to achieve the desired effect. I won't be using it on most shoots, but being able to pull it out on the shoot I need it for will be a huge benefit.
