My ex goes out with our two sons regularly on the golf course. His own father did that with him and his brother. A nice way to spend a day walking in a nice setting and spend time talking with our boys, catching up on their lives. This rangefinder was a way for me to contribute since I don't play golf and really have no great interest in the sport. But having given this to my ex for his next golf date, I heard back from him that it was amazing. He has always been old school, like his father - eyeballing the hole and gauging his shot, but having used this cool little gadget for the first time, he was struck by all the features that gave him loads of information like the magnification so he can zoom in to check out those difficult parts on a hole that can cause you to problems, or the touch screen and he loved the voice that talked to him so he didn't have to check on a distance by taking the rangefinder away from his eye - he could just listen to it. This little guy is lightweight, too, so carrying it along on the golf course is not a problem at all. One of my sons plays golf regularly with a group of guys he works with and told me that he would be getting this rangefinder to take with him next time they play. Now, I realize this could be used for a few different things, like hunting, but it really is an ideal and extremely useful tool for golfers. Considering what golfers pay for their clubs and membership to golf courses and such, the price of this gadget is fairly reasonable considering what it does.
