Ideal for children, portable, detachable from the base and easy to use.
Really great for kids or the casual explorer of a world smaller than we readily see but don't expect this to get subatomic but it's still pretty amazing, way better than anything I had as a kid. I like that you can use it in the base and also remove it from the base and hold it by hand. It opens up a whole range of uses that classic microscopes just couldn't offer, and also allows you to view things without destroying them to get them to fit on a slide. It's fairly easy to use and built fairly well, surviving a few short falls and seemingly not breaking. Check out my photos for a closer look and I hope this helped.
