A truly versatile power source for most devices up to and including professional photographic equipment
This is a very well made and compact powerful power source. Although designed to include a V-mount for use with professional cameras and power source requirements, there are many other uses where power is required. One of my uses for this power source, at least in the summer, is to potentially charge it from a simple 20 watt solar panel. (It charges quickly from a PD source I recommend, and uses many other high-speed charging protocols). I bought a solar panel from Amazon a few years ago and previously used it to charge a 5 volt lithium battery pack, which has worked fairly well in the past, but always experienced a slow reverse discharge when the light source (the sun ) , was very low or at night. I connected the K&F Concept to the panel and it worked flawlessly, there was no discernible power consumption when the light source was dim and insufficient to provide a charge. I assume this is because the K&F Concept is processor controlled. So it seems to intelligently disconnect from the charging source when the input voltage drops and reconnect when there is enough voltage to charge. It's winter, so the sun is weak, but it charged the K&F Concept by 3% in about 50 minutes. This small charge was able to increase my wife's Ipad Pro by 12%, which is not bad at all and shows the efficiency of the K&F Concept. In the summer I fly my remote control helicopter and usually charge it with my car battery via a special device that requires a 10 to 15 volt power source. The K&F Concept worked perfectly in a test charge with the 12 volt output socket and a plug adapter. I should be getting multiple charges for this, but will update this review once I can confirm this. Apart from regular phones, iPads, cameras, etc., this device will charge. I won't list the ports it has, it says so in the description, but I've read that some people don't understand how to charge it. Charging is done through the USB-C port, which is used for both charging and normal output, all controlled by the onboard processor that automatically switches the C-ports function. The only criticism I have is the very small size of the screen and it would be nice if more information was displayed e.g. B. the current flowing through. I also find the labeling on the jack very faint and difficult to see, but that wouldn't be a problem in use. For the pro photographer, the way it mounts and the ability to produce a wide variety of outputs, as well as the comparatively small size/capacity would help offset the high price tag, but there's quite a lot packed into this small box.
