The sound quality that it records is very good and because it can only record when there's a sound, it's great for recording all day long or even several days as it will only record when it detects sound, which also conserves the battery life for even longer usage.
You can change the various settings, including date/timestamp by connecting it to PC using the provided USB cable then by opening the setting file. I can listen to the recorded voice using the provided wired earbuds or by opening the recorded audio files when connected to the PC. It's very small yet has high quality mic so I use it to spy on my kids when they are hanging out in the room with their friends so I know what they are talking about and what they have been up to. It can also be used to record conversation or a lecture in a class as it will be very easy to carry it around due to its minimal size. 5 out of 5 stars.
