My partner bought a tripod for our big heavy zoom lens, but when we tried it on, it wasn’t very stable with the weight being on front. So I bought this, it said can hold up to 8kgs. Until it arrived I didn’t even realised it was the same brand. It is much sturdier, and def can hold a big lens. Took it out on the weekend. Both, you can see on the picture the other smaller one is great with ‘normal’ weight lenses, but for a heavy lens def go for this tripod. We were on a marsh and even tho it was muddy it was sturdy. Did hang a weight ( backpack hey:) in the middle, but tried without it as well and it was stable. Very impressed! I was scared first as it is an expensive lens and heavy you have to be sure it’s stable in every situation. This one worked for me!

So getting this thing back in its case was a nightmare. How it fit in there to begin with I don't know. In order to jam it in I had to take the top part of it off and there's now 2 pieces that I'm not certain I'll be able to screw on which is very annoying.

I have to say I am very impressed and delighted with this tripod - 79” one - it is very well made and the fact that it doubles up as a monopod which can be used as a walking stick is brilliant and the handle grip of the walking stik is plenty high enough and adjustable ( I’m 6ft!) And of course using the monopod as a walking stick means the remainder of the tripod is even lighter to carry plus you are ready to take your next photo/video at any time. With the camera mounted on the tripod and whilst using the monopod I can raise it above my head height whilst standing which is great for filming and photographing birds nesting and even squirrel families playing. Ps it also comes with a very nice well made carry case with shoulder strap. As I said before I am very impressed and delighted with this tripod/monopod and definitely recommend it.

Slightly heavier than expected, but well made and does everything I expected of it. The tripod is quick to set up and is ready to shoot within around 90 seconds, swinging it to underslung mode in a couple of minutes. well recommended

There isn't much to say about this product other than it is superb. The build quality and sturdiness of it are exceptional for the price. It is slightly heavy but as an amateur, I'm not bothered about it being light for the price. This is the third tripod I've had since getting my first camera and I have no doubt that this will last me my lifetime. Everything works exceptionally smooth, strong and stable. Just clicking the legs into place feels premium and the quick release really is quick release.5 out of 5 in every department for me.

In contrast with my old crappy plastic tripod this one is out of this world. Really like the sturdy feel and the design is neat and compact, which is very much appreciated. The fact that one leg (is that the right technical term?) can be used for handheld moments and awkward positions is fabulous. The little gadgets are also great and all-in-all help to make this a worthy tripod and not as expensive as people might think. Arrived empeccably by Amazon Prime as always.

I have only had this tripod for a while now and I have to say it's pretty good value for what it offers. Being 6ft in height, this tripod is perfect as I can easily raise it to my eye level. This makes my work souch easier. It handles my camera load pretty well to. One small downside is that it tends to vibrate on the odd occasion. Just make sure that you have something heavy to hold the tripod down.Other than that small niggle, I love this tripod.

It's ok, not great, not terrible. It is not a professional tripod, but I don't think it claims to be one.It holds a camera steady for long exposures, 30 seconds was the longest I did on it that was on 50mm and 24mm lens and it was fine. I don't think it would be sturdy enough to do long exposures on a telephoto lens.Good points are: ball head is nice and smooth and locks well, legs lock well. it's light and portable, sturdy enough for lightweight kit and it looks pretty.Bad points are: the center column is not great, it all fell apart on me, it is made secure by some cheap plastic shims which ensures it all tightens up, not great when they fall out. It is not very sturdy for heavier equipment, the lowest sections of the legs are very thin. No spirit level on the base/legs so it is difficult to level tripod, if you try to level up the legs the whole thing is so light that slightest knock and it is uneven again. It was frustrating to get it level on uneven rocky ground. It's fine and will do the job and if I was traveling and space and weight were at a premium I would recommend it, I don't travel that much though, so my tripod would live in the car and be used for shortish treks so l'm going back to a 055 series Manfrotto.
