It is an adapter for old lenses that use M42 (pink) to Sony and that does not keep anything secret that cares about electronic contacts. However, it is not advisable to buy any adapter, even if it is more expensive because it can give you holes and not adjust well. Received today, very sturdy build compared to cheaper options. Would highly recommend for putting old lenses to use.

Excellent product in terms of robustness and precision of attachment. It would be perfect, given the price, if it came already equipped with the Allen key needed to straighten the lens with respect to the camera body. It is a very small key and it is difficult to find it in a common hardware store.

I have been using it for some time now on the Sony a7r III with all my m42 lenses, especially with the beloved Helios 44-m4, and I have never encountered any problems.
