Second trail camera we bought and it is superior in every way.

I spent ages trying to get this camera to work - I was so willing it to work. Tried two class 10 sd cards and the provided class 4 card. Reformatted all cards. Worked in daylight but not in darkness. Occasional b/w videos but mostly recorded videos that produced "File error" on replay. Tried loading new software downloaded from Crenova website on to root and other directories on SD card but UPDATE from menu does nothing. Also the camera drains the batteries at an alarming rate. Tried emailing Crenova only to find that the amount of text is limited (no indication) - gives error 404! All in all terrible experience. "Support" is in China so forget it. Returning for refund and will try another brand.

As usual, the accompanying set up guide is in such small print that you need to either have 20/20 vision or a magnifying glass to read it, but common sense prevails and you can work out which buttons you need to press to access the set-up menu. The switch has three settings, off, test, and on. Test will enable the menu.From there you can set date/time, either picture or video or both, time switch (you decide what time to turn the camera off and on). I tried it in daytime and the colour is very good. I bought it as an extra camera for recording the activities of the hedgehogs in our garden, and would recommend this item.

I wanted an inexpensive outdoor camera to find out what was doing so much damage in my garden at night (holes in the turf, gravel paths, etc) and if there was any way to stop it.I had frequently observed grey squirrels hunting around, or burying nuts and even seen a muntjac deer a couple of times when a fence panel was down, but guessed we might be suffering from badgers.It was simple to follow the instructions and set up the camera & test it. I screwed the included bracket to an arbor post so the camera would show most of the central lawn area.The first night I selected the option of 2 photo stills and a ten second video each time it was 'set off'. In the morning there was the naughty badger caught in the act - but I couldn't see where it entered the garden.I suspected it might be getting in at the bottom, where there was a thick hedge and ditch beyond, so after adding some make-shift barriers I strapped the camera (buckle strap included in the box), to a short off-cut of sleeper and faced it towards the 'hot' area. This time I decided to take 20 second bursts of video.In the morning, when I extracted the micro SD card and played it on my laptop, I had 18 x 20 seconds of video showing a total of 4 badgers easily climbing over, or through my make-shift barriers and happily chomping on the fallen apples, right in front of the camera!I now need to erect proper fencing if I am going to keep the lawn level, but I'll miss the cute badgers!A very good purchase, as far as I'm concerned.

this is the second crenova camera I've bought.The first one was found by a dog walker who opened it up, had a play around inside (I've got perfect footage of him and his dog), he left the camera where it was but didn't close it up again,after 4 days of torrential rain the camera was ruined.I thought it was beyond use but after 5 days on a sunny window ledge it works perfectly. This is a mid price range camera but the overall quality is second to none. I site my camera for a week at a time,and the results have been amazing, fox, deer, badger, squirrel and even a peregrine falcon fledgling trying to fly for the first time, if you enjoy wildlife, this is a fun bit of kit and my granddaughters are amazed by it, they both want one for christmas !

Great camera. Easy to set up. Good quality photos and video. Bought 8 rechargeable batteries along with the Camera. Popped them in along with the SD card, positioned the Camera on a nearby tree with the fixing strap provided and then eagerly waited for nightfall. The following morning, I removed the SD Card and popped it into my Desktop and was excited to see all the video footage of Foxes and Badgers together in my garden! I bought it to find out what had dug a huge hole under my garden fence - here's the culprit!

This is a brilliant camera . Easy to set up and unlike some products, the instruction booklet is very helpful and easy to follow. The images in daylight are crystal clear and the same for night shots too. This is my second Crenova and even on rainy nights the camera perform without problems. My main use is to monitor night time wildlife in my garden.
