Bought these to view birds on the feeders just outside our bedroom balcony, plus at the bottom of our (short) garden. They are good quality and well worth what we paid. Better than opera glasses though.Just what we needed to identify the small birds now that our distance vision is failing. However, I would not buy them as a first pair of binocs, because:1. Very narrow field of view. Might put a youngster off trying to use binocs.I'd suggest a modest-priced 8x30 set as a minimum (mine are nearly 60 years old and still going strong)2. Small objective lens size will mean they wouldn't be good in poor lighting conditions

Exactly what I needed, sturdy build, small enough to fit in the pocket and great for my 8-year-old son to use.Didn't want to spend a lot until I know we'll get regular use out of them :)

I bought these for my 10 year old Grandaughter for her birthday because she loves mine, which were a lot more expensive! These are amazing quality for the price. Grandaughter is very happy, and they come with a little case and a cleaning cloth, my more expensive ones did not.

they are indeed very nice optically the picture is clear bright and crisp they are extremely portable and decently made.there is just one problem getting both eyes to match up and on this model, it's very difficult, I have had a few binocs in my time and in this regard its one of the worst its almost unusable, I will be field testing it later and getting my mates to check it out but I don't hold out much hope of this being a keeper.but for £14.00 I can't be bothered to send it back.unless your eyes are very close together don't bother with this one.

Has seperate eye adjuster which I feel is a must. Easy to hold. Carry cord easily removed as I find it better without. Would give five but for the misleading 30*60 which is very strange. It is somewhere between 7 to 8 magnification which is fine for the size.
