I was looking for a good solid, sturdy tridod to use with my Nikon P900 camera. I wanted something that was sturdy but could still be portable if needed but I also didn't want to pay over £100. Did loads of research on various models from well known and not so well known manufacturers and then came across this here on Amazon. I looked at all of the reviews here and everyone gave a glowing report of the tripods quality. I live in Malta and unfortunately I was unable to get a delivery here via Amazon otherwise I wold have purchased here. I did go and find it elsewhere for a couple of £ more and was able to arrnage delivery to Malta so bought and it really is as good as the reviews here say it is. I am no professional photographer and haven't owned loads of tripods but from the moment you open the box, this really does just give a feeling of quality. Well made, everything works smoothly and it folds down easily for travel. Not the lightest, but then I bought it to be sturdy, and that is exactly what is feels like it is going to be. There are other models in the range that cater more for travel if thats what you need, and there are models that are a tripod/monopod but I just wanted a good quality, sturdy, easy to use tripod at a reasonable price. Job done!

Exactly as advertised & great for what I want. Substantial feel to the tripod and much better than others I have seen. Great value for money. Good weight easy to carry. Love the fact that the ball head swivels 90o so you can use it for portrait as well as landscape photos. Very pleased indeed!

I bought this stand for an astronomical telescope since at the entry level, the limiting factor in most telescopes seems to be the entirely replaceable wobbly tripod. Although this is a camera tripod, I had no difficulty at all mounting it to a Celestron Travel Scope 70.I'm 6'6", and this tripod extends to a height comfortable for me in a standing position, and is very stable at that height/ Although it has more weight than the aluminium tripod that came with the telescope, it's not at all inconvenient to move or carry. The leg clasps are initially a little fiddly to adjust but easily understood, and the construction is sound and free from wobble - as you'd want.On a more superficial note it's also a very handsome device in brass-gold and black. It's become a permanent fixture in my living room.

Probably one of the best tripods I've ever used let alone owned. really well built and incredibly flexible and durable when out and about. set-up is quick to and is solid when set-up and tightened.

Overall it's a very good tripod. At first I was somewhat taken aback by how heavy it was, but to be fair the weight is listed so no room for complaint and very quickly get used to it - had it on my back for 30 miles cycling yesterday and hardly noticed it. The legs fix in place nice and firmly and fully extended the camera is eye level and I'm 5ft10, perfect.But....as noted by "Siney - 2 March 2016", I find panning SUCH hard work as although the swivel head seems solidly built, the resistance is HUGE and is impossible to modify. As a result it's not smooth, not because of shoddy construction causing jumps, but it seems that the resistance is hydraulic and will move slowly to begin with but extremely slowly once pressure has built up. It is definitely NOT a tripod for sports or panoramas which is a shame as panoramas was one of the main reasons for buying it.Also the legs don't slide up or down very smoothly, there's inconsistency between legs. Minor point in overall usability but that's not something that you would expect of a tripod at this price level. Once extended, fully or partially the legs are firmly held in place, the leg angling mechanism is very good and once you work out (instructions missing) how to invert the tripod it's very easy to use for downward macros. It's not a top quality tripod but then it's not a top quality price, so 4 out of 5 just about sums it up - good tripod for a good price.

I was disappointed when I ordered the item and then realised it was coming from abroad and would take a month for delivery. The tripod was shipped out the day after I placed my order and arrived 12 days later which is fantastic service. The item was well packaged, plastic outer wrap over a layer of bubble wrap which meant the box was in perfect condition when I unwrapped it. Inside the box was a heavy duty nylon carrier bag with handle and detachable shoulder strap. The tripod inside was in a plastic bag and silicon packs were included to keep the damp off the tripod. The head was covered with a velvet bag for extra protection which was a nice touch. I was immediately impressed with the weight and quality of the tripod and appreciated the foam sleeve on one leg as tripods are always cold to handle. The legs extend with simple clip release action and they are in four sections so plenty of height without having to extend the neck, The clips are stiff but not so much that you have to fight with them and they ensure the legs are able to support the camera. The clips at the tops of the legs are easy to use and allows you to move the leg position for more stability or simply to lower the tripod height. The centre pole can be removed and inverted so the camera can be placed lower to the ground. The ball head is smooth and once secured very stable. It can be turned smoothly through 360 degrees and the ball once locked in place is very secure. The plate to attach the camera to the head is metal and the attachment is very secure I would have no worries about hanging my camera upside down on this head. There is a wrist strap to ensure you have complete control of your tripod if holding it in a precarious position such as the edge of a cliff or waterfall or balanced on the side of a boat, where ever you balance it the strap will ensure you don't lose both tripod and camera. Aesthetically the tripod looks expensive, the black and gold makes it look classy and although not an important feature of a tripod is still worth noting. I would happily recommend this tripod to others, for the cost of under fifty pounds including ball head and postage you can't go wrong with this fabulous item. I am sure it will give me many years of use.

This tripod is extremely well made. All the parts are metal and everything just fits together nicely. Adjustment points work smoothly and precisely. This is a really good tripod. It is not the lightest one out there weighing around 1.8 kg. Thanks to the weight it offers superb stability but if you need to carry it around very often then it might get heavy after a while. To aid portability K&F have included a decent carrying bag with a shoulder strap and the tripod folds to a very compact size. Additionally one of the tripod legs is foam coated to form a nice handle for carrying around without the bag. Each leg has four sections and can be extended to a maximum of 1,29 m, it folds to 44 cm. They can be adjusted at three different angles independently. Bottom of each leg is finished with a rubberised end cap to stop it from sliding around on slippery surfaces. This tripod has a clever centre column (23 cm) which can be adjusted up and down or inverted for low level shots. Additionally there is a self-retracting hook on the centre column so you can hang your bag there for extra stability.Tripod mount is located on a ball joint and gives plenty of adjustment options. Each adjustment point has a good size locking knob which aids grip. Adjustment is always smooth and precise. The main platform has a built in spirit level so you can always check how level your setup is. The highest the tripod can get is around 1.57 m from the floor to the mounting plate.Overall this is a very well built tripod that offers plenty of mounting angles. Would recommend to anyone looking for a midrange tripod.
