Whether you're a beginner, an enthusiast, or a professional, there are some pieces of photography equipment you just cannot do without, one of which is a tripod. The dedicated enthusiast and those that earn their living from taking photos will already have one of their choice, so this review is for the newcomers and those yet to take the plunge. As with most pieces of equipment, there is a plethora from which to choose, so how do you make the right choice? K&F Concept has a tripod that sits in the middle of its range. The TM2324 has plenty of tricks up its sleeve to tempt you.Weighing in at a smidgeon over 4lbs (1.85Kg), including the ball head, it's not the lightest around and it's not up there with the top of the range tripods, but you're not paying Manfrotto, Gitzo or 3 Legged Thing prices. That weight might not sound much but bear in mind you might be carrying it around all day. Fortunately, K&F has supplied a more than decent carry case and shoulder strap to help.The four section legs can be adjusted into three angled positions for different shooting heights and the centre column can also be inverted for low level use. It's easy to do, too. To alter the angle, simply press on the gold clips at the top of the legs and move it. To invert the column, unscrew the bottom part, slide it out, turn it round and screw it back on to stop it falling through. The height can then be adjusted by turning the collar to the desired position. The leg extenders are the lever type and though some prefer twist lock ones, I have no preference. As for sturdiness, it does its job provided you don't go too heavy with your camera and lens. The recommended maximum is about 17½lbs (8kg), which is that of a high end camera and lens. And if you own that sort of gear you won't be buying this tripod; for CSCs and other DSLRs it will be ample for your needs.One leg is covered in a foam sleeve for when you're carrying it around without the bag (tripod legs are notoriously cold at the best of times) and the feet have a slightly raised centre for added stability. At this price I didn't expect to be able to change the feet, so these are perfectly adequate. There's an in-built hook on the end of the centre column from which you can hang your camera bag for extra stability. Just pull it out to use and when you're done it self retracts.The 360° ball head itself is more than satisfactory, too. It comes already attached to the tripod but covered by a velvet bag. A nice touch. The spirit level is an assist, as is the quick release plate. The only issue I had was attaching my camera to the plate. I found it easier to remove the plate, screw it to the camera and then replace the plate onto the head. A bit fiddly but nothing you can't overcome, and if you're using a tripod, you're not out for some instant photos, so the 15 seconds or so it takes won't matter.Though obviously not high on someone's criteria, the aesthetics are pleasant enough. Those gold coloured angle clips along with the same colour banding around the centre column collar set it off quite nicely. There's a carry strap attached to the central column not for extra stability, but to save you from having to scramble down a cliff or something; you wouldn't hand hold your camera without the strap (and if you do, don't), so this is a safety element. Although mine was missing, this does come with a manual. Well worth considering.This was sent to me by the manufacturer for review purposes.

After a lot of investigation and what appears to be a lot of good quality options available in the market I chose the k& F and from what I have seen so far its the perfect choice and amazing value for money.Upon opening the box you can see the product is fantastic quality, easily opened up, sturdy when set up, my Sony A6000 fits on perfectly and is smoothly panned around with no issues.The legs extend with a simple smooth mechanism and still feels really stable, hopefully continued use will result in the same positive commnetsThe product also fits nicely in the cloth bag provided with no problems. The only issue is the product is a touch heavier than I expected bu this just supports the sturdier nature.Paul

This tripod is great for people that want a high quality, stable and portable platform to mount their camera.Included is:TripodCarrying Case + StrapThe tripod feels very nice and it is very lightweight. The weight is much lighter than other tripods but still weighty enough to stay firmly on the ground.The tripod is made from metal which gives it a premium and strong feel. This makes it feel durable and tough.The tripod has extendable legs which lock into place using the plastic clips. The clips are strong and keep the legs very secure. The legs don't rotate and are keyed to keep them in line and therefore reduce vibration and wobble in the legs.The tripod legs are quite long when fully extended which allow the tripod to be raised to a very high height. The tripod legs can also spread out using the leg locks. This allows the tripod to be tall and slightly more unstable or lower and very stable.The tripod also has a ball head and quick release plate which allows your camera to be maneuvered around in mostly any position you would want. There are screw locks which unlocks and locks the ball head and tripod head into place.Overall this tripod is great for people who travel often as it is lightweight whilst still remaining high quality and having a very high quality construction.

I love this thing. Very sturdy, easily adjustable. Took some great photos of sparklers being waved around over a 10 second shutter speed. Opened up a new level of photography that my wobbly hands couldn't dream of

I'm well pleased with this tripod. The quality of workmanship, finish and smooth operation, make this a fantastic lightweight addition to your kit, ideal for travelling or hiking.It's very sturdy and can be anchored with your camera bag using the hook at the base of the centre column, which is also reversible for low down shots.The ball head is really nice, very smooth and has an integral spirit level.The tripod also comes with a really nice padded, zipped carry case/bag. I can't fault this tripod in any way and would recommend it.

Please note this review is for the TM2324 – travel tripod / monopod kitThe build quality of this tripod is very good indeed and I have trusted it entirely with all of my kit, it supports my Canon 7D and heavy EF 70-200mm f2.8L IS II lens and no problem at all (their combined weight is around 2.3KG). This product was sent to me for review and its important to know from the onset that its available in 4 different types; TM2324, TM2515, TC2534 and TM2534. I received the TM2324. If you look a few lines below the price section you will see the 4 models available and clicking on each one changes the details on the page.It comes well presented with terrific padding and the carry case that it comes with is well padded, with a strong zip and strong handles. The quality of the tripod is high and its made mainly of magnesium aluminium alloy. Overall it's medium weight and fully extends to 1350mm.The design on this is modern, classic, steampunk and it adjusts in quite a few different areas, offering a great deal of flexibility. Starting at the bottom, there are rubber pads present with a durable look, it adjusts in 3 separate parts just above the legs and these are controlled by a simple yet secure mechanism. Next up is the grip on 1 leg which allows you to carry it without the zipped case.The legs themselves can move inwards or outwards and can be controlled independently and the mechanism allows that to happen easily too. The middle section can also adjust about a ruler length, up or down. Just before you get to the middle section you get the soft hand strap and I personally found that to be very useful when it was using it to take photos of a waterfall on uneven rocks.The top unit can adjust in even more ways as you can move your camera left, right, forward, back and anywhere in between. The adjuster on that is tiny but it works well. The section underneath can also twist clockwise and anti-clockwise and that completes the adjustment tour!.The camera attachment on top is an universal one and gets controlled by a small adjuster on the side. I was more than happy with its performance and from all the large tripods that I have used, this is certainly the one that can be adjust the easiest.I also like the bronzy detailing and it goes very well with the black colour. You also get the spirit level on top which worked well and will be essential for certain individuals.Verdict: Easy to use and adjusts in a number of different areas

great price.Pretty much everything about this product impressed me. From the moment you open it from the packaging you realize how small and portable it is. The tripod feels very secure and the monopod is the best part. You simply remove one of the legs and attach it to the center shaft. It only takes about a minute or less to swap from one to the other.

My wildlife photography/birding hobby has always been on a very tight budget due to my very tight pension! I have had a couple of cheapo tripods which,frankly were rubbish!So when I was offered this tripod free in return for a honest and unbiased review I snatched it up quickly!So what do you get for your hard earned cash? In the box you will find.....1 X Tripod bag with a shoulder strap.1 X Tripod with.....1 X Short central axis.1 X Standard screw.1 X Allen key.1 X Head bag,to protect the head (a very good idea!)1 X very useful and informative user manual.The whole lot comes packaged in a very sturdy box giving maximum protection for the tripod.How simple is the tripod to set up?Extremely easy indeed,the three legs are initially folded up towards the head,and it is just a case of folding them down and extending them to give you the correct height required for your camera and/or spotting scope.It was so easy that I didnt have to bother with the instruction manual at all.the locking lugs on the legs etc, are easy to lock/unlockThe tripod is manufactured from high grade magnesium aluminium alloy,and looks as if it will last for a long time!The head is where you will probably need to consult the instruction manual,just so you can get it set correctly (Hint, pop a screwdriver with a wide head into your bag as you will need one to tighten the head screw) the head also has a small spirit level to assist with getting your photograph straight!And that is almost all you need to know,except to say that if you need the tripod to be even more stable than it already is,there is a sprung hook at the base of the central axis where you can suspend and extra weight.The product photos show the tripod bag usedto hold the weight and this would seem to be a good idea!A terrific mid priced tripod for the keen photographer.
