While they are not B&W or even Tiffen, I do like K&F Concept filters. Their filters tend to be well made, have a minimum of distortion and colorization especially considering their reasonable price. The 52mm Nano-X Black Soft Filter is another example of a well made, inexpensive filter.
Keep in mind that this is a special effects filter. It won’t be much value in normal, everyday photography. It is a Diffusion Effect filter. These filters were very popular in Hollywood films especially in the 1940s and 1950s. The were used for reducing blemishes and wrinkles on actor’s faces (especially on women) and for creating glowing effects. However, if you need or want these kinds of effects in your images, the K&F Concept 52mm Nano-X Black Soft Filter will do the job at a reasonable cost.

This K&F Black Diffusion Filter is an excellent kit. It reduces the contrast, makes the black tones a little grayer and ensures a gentle bloom around the highlights. There are four filter strengths available; from weakest to strongest, they are 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 and 1.

The black fog filter is intended to give pictures, in particular videos, a dreamlike appearance by creating a "glow effect" for the entire picture. The hard edges of the image are softened, but the contrast in the dark areas is largely retained. Use this filter for best results, especially near the light source. A subtle halo is added around the point of light.

The filter arrived neatly packaged. The feel is good, it feels valuable. I didn't notice any color shifts negatively.

Werkt heel goed. Diffusie ziet er mooi uit en niet supersterk en mijn lensdop past er bovenop.

Dit filter maakte diepe indruk op mij, ik had echt niet verwacht dat het zo handig zou zijn voor videoproductie. Ik denk dat het voor mij genoeg is om op een zonnige dag een video te maken.
