The cam uses 3.5×1.35mm power connector which is fine except all my power supplies use 5.5mm connectors, so prepare yourself for an extra £10 spend. Then I found the tip doesn't mate properly so it drops out easily causing the unit to switch off. Additionally, beware that the power inlet doesn't have an anti-capillary ring (raised ring to cause rain to drip away from the power) so I'm betting rain will soon find its way in. I'll give it a go for a little, but suspect it's going to be returned as not fit for purpose.
great for seeing hedgehogs at night

Nice camera. The free SD card that came with it stopped working after one day. Changed to better quality one.Easy instructions compare to other camera models. Easy to set up.Night time picture quality varies but is acceptable.Annoying and fiddling having the power switch inside the camera.Glad I went for the more expensive model. (I’ve had two cheaper versions which had to be returned due to faults) Third time lucky!
Good camera. Worth the extra money.

We bought this product to capture wild life in the garden such as foxes and birds. Product easy to setup and operate and has been running for the last 4 weeks or so no problem and with good night time fox pictures (still and video). Early on we did have a problem when formatting the micro sd card in the unit. I contacted Crenova support who suggested buying another SD card and that worked fine. The original had presumably failed. Crenova support were in regular contact via email and arranged a credit to our Amazon account for the failed SD card. Very good that support are so responsive as very often get no response. Well done to Daisy at Crenova support.

I purchased one of these for my husbands birthday last July and we have being trying to get the camera to work for months, buying new SD cards and a variety of other things. In desperation I contacted amazon to ask for help and had an immediate reply with helpful suggestions. These also failed so they offered to replace the camera. This arrived promptly and all is now working well. Very impressed with the level of service.

Very versatile and takes pics & video day or night. Image quality is very good considering the low cost of the product.

Supplied micro sd card was dead on arrival. Now using a SanDisk Ultra card, had to make numerous adjustments to camera settings before I could get it to work. Picture & video quality are ok (just) but probably due to having to go to lowest resolution to get anything. Probably wouldn’t buy this brand again.

I have been using the camera for about a week now. It’s setup in a small suburban garden to hopefully see what wildlife may be visiting. First impressions are positive, but it is early days still. The casing definitely seems waterproof. It’s survived a torrential downpour already. Photo quality is ok for a cheap 8MP camera. The interpolated higher resolutions aren’t really worth using. Video quality is pretty good too. The auto ISO setting does a reasonable job of adjusting for most light conditions, but depending on siting, expect some over/underexposed areas. Night vision is surprisingly good; good enough to recognise which of the neighbourhood cats is in the garden. All I can say about battery life is that the first set of Duracell’s are still going strong after a week of continuous use.The supplied memory card died after a couple of days’ use, but a good quality SanDisk card is performing well in its place. [Update: Crenova have already sent a replacement card.]It’s not captured any dramatic wildlife yet, but that isn’t the camera’s fault. Overall, a good buy based on first impressions.
