67mm Variable ND Filter ND3-ND1000, Ultra-thin HD, with Double-sided 28-layer Nano-coating, Nano-Xcel Series
SKU: KF01.2009
I got this K&F 58mm variable ND filter (1.5-10 Stops) to use on my iPhone 15 Pro Max via a Tiffen filter mount.
The presentation of this filter is first class and second to none. I was very surprised by the effort put into the presentation, from the included magnetic box to the wallet that holds the filter. It really is top-notch.
The filter itself looks amazing too, with the metal orange pusher which makes rotating the VND easy, and it is very smooth when rotating.
I'm using this filter primarily for video to allow the correct shutter speed when recording 24fps on bright days. Previously, I had purchased the ND2-32, but it was faulty and I found the 1-5 stops were not enough on brighter days. K&F customer service was excellent; they replaced my faulty filter immediately and even sent me a replacement filter box for another filter I had purchased, as it had been slightly creased during delivery.
Overall, I find this to be a very high-quality VND with no discernible color shift or loss of detail. My recordings look identical to those without the filter, except now I'm getting the correct shutter speed for my chosen frame rate.
Another great thing about this filter is the ability to shoot very long exposures with my iPhone when capturing images of waterfalls, cloud movement, light trails, etc.
Highly recommended.

Out of the gate the first thing you’ll notice is the build quality on this filter. It it feels really solid in your hand, there are no loose parts and has a good weight to it. I like how it has little grip extenders that you can grab a hold of to turn the filter. As the filter does need a little bit of pressure to turn it, it’s nice to have these so your fingers don’t slip. I like how it has hard stops on the ND filter so you don’t accidentally turn it too far, which can mess up your image really quick regardless of what brand filter you’re using.

Although I already have a variable ND filter, I'm not satisfied with it because the wheel is stiff and the results don't meet my expectations.
Sworn off the ND filters, I came across a product review for this K+F filter, which convinced me so much that I ordered this filter for my new lens (Tamron 35-150mm 2-2.8f).
With the packaging (high-quality cardboard packaging with magnetic holder) and then the gold-decorated insert and then the leather case for storage, I gradually introduced me to a high-class product. The filter was delivered dust-free, has visible coatings and a really useful adjustment wheel to dynamically adjust the filter. The screw thread is perfect and the initial results are significantly better than the tests with the rather simple filter.
I'm satisfied, but I expect this performance even at such a high price. Recommendation!

Sometimes you want to be able to shoot with an open aperture even in a very bright environment, for example to take a portrait and be able to represent the person in front of the blurred background. It is sometimes not enough to reduce the shutter speed or adjust the ISO values downwards. Then you just need an ND filter to soften the light in a color-neutral way.
In my opinion, this filter here from K&F is a great choice for this. Because with this filter, you are very flexible, as it not only has a strength, but can also “save or gain” up to 10 f-stops. It is extremely well made, can be easily screwed on and then infinitely adjusted with an easy-to-use lever. I don't understand why it has to be in orange of all things. I would have liked that more discreetly.
The optical quality of this filter is unique, the compensation is excellent, the feel is great, the price is correspondingly high but justified. I give it a full 5 stars.

The filter is huge.
7.4 mm thick and 159 grams heavy, probably designed more for outdoor use.
Multi coated surface (28 layers), glass filter, scratch-resistant, waterproof,...
You get startled when you hold the part for the first time.
There is a scale at the front that shows the approximate values, everything is easy to grip on the frame itself or can be adjusted with the small, screwed on handle.
The filter rotates completely, i.e. there is a tiny step at the end of/ND1000 before it goes up again. Since no stopper is used here, you have to set fairly precisely if you want to get the highest ND value.
Even though it is of course the usual design of these filters, I don't find it particularly practical or easy to adjust. You really have to be careful, the scale doesn't necessarily help because the highest effect only comes after the “1000ND” entry. And a little more turn, the ND decreases again.
Visually everything is ok, I couldn't notice any great/annoying color changes - at least nothing that you wouldn't have expected with this type of filter.
With and without filters, the image stays sharp.
The whole thing comes in a plastic bag, where the filter is loose, without another cover - here too I'm more of a fan of the lockable plastic cases, but okay.
For 80 euros, you can get a good tool.
Not the best for me, but that is complaining at a high level.

First of all: Despite post-processing on a PC, it is recommended to use a filter in many cases. For example, I always use an ND filter for videos and time-lapses with daylight at the same time to keep the light away from the sensor and therefore be able to expose for longer.
But now on to the actual product.
The filter comes in a nice, dust-proof, magnetic box. The tab is practical (just pull it upwards;) the filter comes up in no time. So you can get out without much fumbling and without annoying prints.
It continues in the same way, because the filter is variable with an orange handle on which different neutral density filters can be adjusted simply by turning.
The workmanship makes a great impression.

The package with the K&F Concept Nano X series variable ND filter ND3-ND1000 neutral density filter 67mm (1.5-10 aperture steps) was delivered quickly and securely packaged.
I love photography and was happy to be able to test this filter.
The black outer box with the filter was once again coated with a plastic film so that no moisture could penetrate. The filter itself is in a high-quality plastic case. The flap of the bag is magnetic. So no unnecessary flipping around to get to the filter. Very practical: The filter can be easily removed with a strap. The whole thing looks really elegant and is also a great gift for a hobby photographer.
The filter itself is made of Japanese optical glass with 28-layer nano-coating on both sides, which should prevent a certain lens reflection and, of course, glare caused by various types of lens. light sources. According to the manufacturer, the ND filter is waterproof, oil and dustproof, which benefits the requirements of nature and hiking in particular. I have the feeling that the filter is very robust. It weighs 45 g with a lens size of 67 mm. Of course, the price is appropriate accordingly.
The filter frame is made of aircraft aluminum, has an ultra-wide angle construction and is just 7.4 mm thick. Anyone who, like me, has always used a few different dark gray filters will appreciate this fact of only using 1 filter.
I use neutral density filters in particular when taking pictures of water at a lake or of running water or waterfalls. Even when taking long-term photos of places that you would like to photograph without people, this part is fantastic.
The function of this adjustable filter is quite simple. Press the practical slider and the filter becomes darker or lighter again as needed (see photos) So you can easily try out different settings and effects without having to constantly change the filters.
However, I also have to mention that you cannot attach the sun visor to this filter because the slider is of course in the way. It's a bit impractical, but okay, you can't have everything...
Conclusion: With this type of aperture adjustment, the price is within the normal range. There are certainly cheaper ones, but the K&F filter is built to a higher quality. The results are certainly impressive. Since I'm not a professional but simply enjoy taking pictures, this filter is actually a great companion for me and I can recommend it with a clear conscience.
As a product tester, I work very intensively on each product tested, put it through its paces, so to speak, and only give reviews that I can fully stand behind. I hope my review was useful to you.

Bought this for my 50mm f1.4 lens as it is often too bright when wide open. This filter works great in reducing the amount of light. I like that it's variable.

My equipment: Canon 90D 18-135mm 3.5/5.6 USM lens
I really love this cover. I have never had an ND filter before, but I am completely blown away by the features of this one. As you can see from the photos I've uploaded, they work wonders in filtering out some of the harsh light from day shooting, they also let me capture a pretty awesome sunrise! I have not used them for motion photos, yet, as I typically do landscape photography, but they do help with pictures during the day to avoid having overly exposed areas in your pictures. The case it comes with is also top tier, made with nice leather and easy to remove from the package when you're looking to use it. I have not noticed any white balance issues with it, but I take all my photos in RAW format, so I don't usually pay much attention to my white balance (I fix that in the editing process). The lens itself is great quality, as well. It adjusts very easily and tethers nicely to my lens. I cannot speak highly enough about this filter, if you are shopping for something to bump your photography to the next level, this is an excellent place to start!
