This thing is great at keeping my camera alive. Little did I know that my wireless camera would die every three days….this thing keeps it up for more than 2 weeks. I am curious how long it will last in the summer when my region gets sun for longer.

The really great thing about this surveillance camera is that you can really place the camera anywhere. Even if there is no power supply available far and wide, this camera can still be used. At first I was a bit skeptical that this small PV panel would be enough to power and charge the camera. But my worries were unfounded, the PV panel supplies the surveillance camera with sufficient power. The battery life is also really good, even on the not-so-sunny days the camera doesn't turn off that quickly. The recording quality day and night is also great, the camera recognizes the smallest movements of people and animals. I am convinced of this camera and am considering buying another one for my backyard.

Works as desired, easy setup, easy assembly, reliable alarms, reliable recording, flawless direction control while on the go, software app practical, battery is always between 80 and 100% when the solar panel is aligned to the south (shading from midday). The only criticism: Service does not respond after a letter, so no help with questions. Therefore, 1 star deduction, product 5 stars

Unfortunately the company that offers data plans for the camera does not offer a wide variety of 4G network carrier in Canada, it’ll cost you 20$ a month for 2GB of data for video recording which isn’t much considering the fact that this camera records 2K videos.The signal was terribly weak in my area since we wanted to use it at our camping site to add some security when we are in town.So I’ll have to figure something out and find a prepaid Canadian carrier that can offer me a compatible SIM card but nonetheless the camera itself is well built and comes with a decent sized solar panel that can be used for anything that uses USB type C.

still have the camera in test mode, but I would like to publish some par information in advance. The camera comes well packaged with all the accessories you need. There are even drilling templates for both carrier plates. Except for the screws and dowels, everything makes a high-quality impression. The panel and the camera itself are very clean and of high quality. What do you need to put them into operation? First it has to be loaded. I would do that with a charger, it takes too long with the panel and there is not enough light in the evening anyway. After installing the app, you have to reset the camera, otherwise you can't integrate it. Then you can integrate them quickly and immediately have a picture. You can set and control the camera via the app. The image can be transmitted in SD or HD. A memory card can be installed directly in the camera, which then records, depending on the size, when motion is triggered. The length and quality of the recording can be adjusted. I have it installed temporarily to monitor the garage. It works quite well and I already had recordings day and night. This is also my point of criticism, the sensitivity of the motion sensor is really not easy to set and the function is rather notchy. Here I will continue to experiment and write an update. The quality in the dark is also very good! So far I am very satisfied and give four good stars and I hope that my information was helpful.

This is a very reasonable small solar panel, with a nominal 4W output. While I only tested it under wintery conditions without full bright sunlight, it still gives a decent output. You need direct sunlight on a bright day to maybe get the advertised 4W. Still though, even under less-than-perfect conditions, it gives a decent output to slowly charge a battery. So far happy with it, looking forward to sunnier days though.

If you have connected the camera to the solar panel, it is (almost) ready to use after installing the app. It is possible to save the recordings, either on a micro SD memory card or you can use the provider's cloud. Here the first 7 days are free. However, a memory card is not included. The app was installed within a few minutes thanks to the QR code on the box. The app takes you by the hand so that the camera can be integrated without any problems. An email address must be specified. A password for access must also be assigned. However, privacy concerns should be thrown overboard. The app or the German-language menu is clear, so you can quickly find your way around. The constant app push notifications that come in when, for example, a movement is detected are very annoying. I immediately disabled these notifications. I set the night and day shots of the camera to 1080p (HD). Both recording modes are very good, it is even possible to set the night mode to color instead of black and white. The night shots are then displayed in color as soon as motion is detected. Some background noises in sound recordings are a bit annoying at times. Convinced, has the battery life. The camera was active all night and during the day. When installing outdoors, you should make sure that the solar panel gets a lot of sunlight. Mounting brackets are included! Despite a few points of criticism or comments, the camera was convincing. The photo shows a black and white night shot. The video I uploaded shows the color capture at night.
