If you want something to pull out and use a few times a year with a smaller camera this will probably work for you. If you're going to use a tripod a lot or with a bigger/heavier camera save you money and get a higher end one.

The ball head is small and not machined well. When loosened and moving it, it binds some in certain spots rotating it. This says the machining isn't even.

The hot plate is locked with a thumb screw which would be hard to tighten with a large body camera. There is not a way to lock the lock screw so I wouldn't trust it with a heavy camera or one with a large telephoto.

There are some plastic parts in the legs (in the locking collar, on the inner part of the leg to keep it centered) that are light weight, cheap plastic that probably not going to last long.

It's a very good looking tripod, and mostly a decent product. Sadly, some plastic piece broke inside the main shaft for the head. So it won't raise without forcing it nor will it slide back down. Basically I lost a huge usage advantage of this tripod. If this hadn't occured, then this would be a fantastic tripod for the money. Unfortunately, I don't think I got my money's worth....I really wanted to like it

I enjoy this compact yet pretty tall tripod. I use it for my DSLR on each photoshoot. Great for landscapes and Time lapses

This is a great Tripod. I have a canon 6DMII shoot with 100 2.8f macro usm lens and a 50 1.4f lens. This is durable enough for my macro and body. It’s quite sturdy. I do food, portrait, and travel photography. Have brought this on road trips and it’s so compact

I used this for the first time last week on a video shoot. That's my primary function.
Used it with a GH5.
I needed something I could throw in a carryon. It was great for that. It folds up nice and small.
And it is surprising how tall this tripod can get. If you extend both risers in the middle it is plenty tall for most people I will interview. At that height, it is important to always be next to the tripod as it is not a beefy tripod and I would worry about it falling with a wind gust. That said, it supported the weight fine.
The downside of shooting video with the tripod is trying to do any pans or tilts. You are limited to very small pans and tilts just aren't a thing.
It is great that there is a leveling bubble. It is easily visible and that was a lifesaver.
If it had more video functionality I'd give it 5 stars, but for the size this is a solid 4 and a great little tripod.
