I’ve been doing a lot more portraits and newborns and have felt I needed a new lens to help me get closer to my subjects…I have to say. I’m pretty impressed. This is my first time going off brand (canon) and I am not disappointed. The noise really doesn’t bother me since I’m using it for portraits and I’m pretty impressed with the quality of the images.

Great lens great picture for the price Amazing by. I do see how people complain about the noise of the focus but it's not terrible and it doesn't bother me.

No problems with autofocus. Added a solid range of capabilities. Great price.

I like this lens.
This "feels" like a 50mm lens on my old 35mm film camera. On my APS-C DSLR this is perfect for what I was wanting to do. Which was to do some product photography "on the cheap", and eliminate the parallax I was getting when I used wider angle lenses, with out spending major dollars on a more expensive solution.
The pictures were in focus (though I don't use auto focus much) and the picture quality was excellent.
The mount feels a little tight when I mount it to my camera, but no issues with it.
Overall I think this was an excellent purchase for my uses.

There wasn't any way I was going to spend $500+ on a 30 mm lens for my canon. It wouldn't make sense for me to do that in the first place. But this guy gets the job done! It's officially my go to lens.

Great value for the price. It hunts a little on my EOS RP but a nice compact lens to walk around with.
