Yongnuo YN35mm F2 Lens 1:2 AF/ MF Wide Angle Fixed / Fixed Focus AF Lens for Canon EF mount EOS cameras
SKU: GW21.0001
Look you get what you pay for but this product is great for its price. I’ve had Yongnuo flash triggers for over 10 years and they’ve lasted and always been on point for as cheap as they were. This 35mm lens was for my wife who’s a professional videographer and required an additional lightweight lens for shooting in smaller environments. This lens has been great and the same quality as it’s old and now no longer available canon’s cheap EOS range lenses. Would highly recommend but don’t expect high end glass and performance. My wife uses the lens mostly manual focus so it wasn’t an issue and doesn’t mind the softer quality of the picture.
Overall great lens for the price. We are happy and will be back for more incase this one gets a bump in passing or gets dropped on the job

Really satisfied with the quality for the price! The clarity of these photos was more than I thought it was going to be. I'm pleasantly surprised and excited to use this lens more. I took a few videos with it as well and will say it does lose focus pretty easily during recording. The sound of the auto focus is also pretty loud but I'm personally not bothered by it. Happy with the purchase.

The performance is great, but it does feel kind of cheap. Which it is. It is a GREAT value.

This lens is outstanding for the price. I have used it on a Canon Rebel SL2, and a Canon 6D. I originally bought it for the SL2, because it has a crop sensor, and my Canon 50mm F1.8 wasn't wide enough (because it's effectively about an 80mm lens on the crop sensor).
Overall, the picture quality is great. The auto focus is a bit slower - and definitely noisier - than my Canon 50mm, but the resulting images are on-par. I end up using this lens quite a lot, and often just throw it in my bag just in case I need it for a low-light shot. Plus if I lose it or break it, I'll just buy another one!
One note - this lens does NOT have image stabilization (nor does my Canon 50mm F1.8). I doubt ANY lenses at this price point do. It just means that I have to speed up my shutter speed a bit to avoid shake/blur. The slowest I'll go is 1/80s, unless I have something to lean on to stabilize (or obviously a tripod). For a while I thought I was getting soft images because of the lens, or having the aperture set to low and missing focus on the right spot... but it ended up just being good ol' camera shake.

This is my go to lens! I don’t do anything too crazy with photography, it’s more of a hobby. But I have two Canon lenses, a 50mm and a 24mm. I use this 35 way more than those because it’s a great middle point where I can do portraits or something with slightly wider frame. I use it for hikes and for social media marketing at work! The outside of it is plastic but despite it feeling a bit cheaper, it definitely shoots well and has been durable enough during travels. Been using it to get into astrophotography too.

Yongnuo is proving that good quality products don’t have to be sold by an unfair price. Greedy corporations should follow this company’s example and start charging non extorting prices for their products.
Update 1-3-2020
I just received the uv filter and hood I purchased for this lens. The photos show clearly that hood, lens filter and lens cap are all attached at the same time and nothing is “falling off”. I’ve read so many bad things people wrote here and now I’m making sure future buyers have the chance to read an honest review. I’m not getting paid to do this. The same I cannot say about the people bashing this lens... Yongnuo is probably scaring the greedy corporations that makes TONS of money on people like us, who look for a decent quality product to practice/work/have fun.

For the money, great lens. Sure it’s noisy, cheap feeling, and sharpness on the edges is not the best. But if you’re looking for a lens that is lightweight, sharp in the center wide open, and not necessarily looking for clinical, this is the lens for you. And the best part is you won’t feel guilty losing it or dropping it as much as some of your most expensive lenses.

I am a beginner photographer and this lens works perfectly for what I need it to. The only thing is the rubber guard falls off constantly. Not at all a big deal but kind of annoying.
