I love this little drone, for what it is you can't expect much better. I would say it's not a beginner drone for new pilots, but it is a great beginner drone for new FPV pilots. I crashed into some trees and hit the ground hard a couple of times and then it just blew up again. A tough little guy in my opinion. You will definitely need extra batteries. My flight times are a maximum of 3 1/2 minutes. Video quality is good enough to fly, but don't expect HD picture quality at this price point. The turtle mode is probably the best invention ever on a drone like this. If you have flown and want to try FPV, I 100% recommend this drone.

Incredible fun! I wouldn't consider this a child's toy, it takes a lot of practice and the controls are very sensitive (as they should be). But it's great for (adult) beginners. It's worth noting that I was never able to get "Normal" mode to work. However, the Sport and Manual modes worked great. When I tried normal mode, the drone shot straight into the air at top speed and hit our ceiling. Haha, I'm glad I wasn't outside or that thing would have been gone! Another great benefit of this drone is that it is SUPER durable. Mine has already crashed into our high ceiling, fallen from the second floor onto the hardwood floor of the first floor, bumped into walls, turned upside down, several very hard landings, etc. Thing still looks as good as new and runs great. Just ONE fairly important issue: battery life. The flight time per battery is only about 3 minutes. And you only get 2 batteries. Charging the batteries takes about 20 minutes. So do yourself a favor and buy the 4 pack betafpv 450mah BT2.0 batteries as well as the betafpv charger with 30w power adapter, which can charge 6 of the 1S 450mah batteries at the same time. This way you have more flight. Additionally, the better your flying skills the longer you can fly on each battery as your flight will be smoother and less 'punchy' and less high current events resulting in batteries lasting much longer if you were just flying around gently - you could reach up to 4-5 minutes with a nice, smooth, steady flight.

The BetaFPV drones are undoubtedly the easiest and most affordable way to approach this hobby. With the three available modes (Normal, Sport and Manual) as well as the speed switch, you get a safe and practical way to learn about FPV flight controls and operations. It flies well for its size. BUT it is not suitable for people who wear glasses because the glasses do not fit under the FPV glasses. Or you can adjust your glasses so that they fit. Otherwise, the drone is recommended.
