This was my first attempt at learning to fly an FPV style drone. It was a great drone to learn from. It's really difficult at the beginning. It's not easy to just take it out of the box and fly. I hated it at first just because I don't have the skills to use the controller. But over time and after a lot of practice. I've honed my skills to the point that this drone is a lot of fun. The downside (with any drone) is the battery life, but you can easily swap them out and fly right back. It's a sturdy little thing. I've crashed countless times and only lost a propeller which went off over a pile of leaves in the garden. The propeller, mostly made of transparent plastic, could not be found. Nowadays I love it, I just wish I had bought the Cetus Pro version because it has a turtle mode that can flip itself if it falls on its head. The Cetus helped me get one step closer to my goal of becoming a good drone pilot. I will definitely be looking for bigger and better drones now.

Drone is super fun. The goggles can be paired with other drones and hence the remote control is a great way to start this hobby.

UPDATE: Bought three more including a Cetus Pro with brushless motors. Teach STEM subjects to neighborhood kids. Really surprising for the price and size. It has an optical flow camera and a laser range finder that give it a really stable hover. It's fun to fly. Ideal for a beginner. Once you get used to it, you can increase the power via switches. Surprisingly, with my extremely poor eyesight, I don't know how I can see the image in the glasses. The downside is that it's a little jumpy and seems to have a mind of its own at times. It somehow adds to the experience. Next time I'll try turning off some of the automation. In addition, it would be nice if the camera angle could be changed and the video was marginal. However, one cannot complain about the price and the overall performance.

It's a fun quad for learning to fly. Normal and Sport modes are both fun, and Manual mode is fun outdoors. If you plan to fly outdoors, the range can be seen on the video and the controller will show spotty readings at around 50-65 yards with no obstacles. Get some extra batteries, props and motors and some frames from Amazon (via email).

The whole system worked very well until I encountered problems with the directional joystick. For some unknown reason the joystick wouldn't center, namely the 2SE Lite radio controller. There was some trouble communicating the exact nature of the problem, and after learning how to attach photos, BETAFPV support was quick to respond with a replacement. I fly both the small drone that came with the Cetus basic starter pack and the Cetus Pro drone that was purchased at a later date. I am very happy with the system and am now making good progress in learning the FPV thing
