I bought this as the group I ride with wanted me to be able to communicate, and I also wanted to be able to hear map instructions, online broadcasts, phone calls.
The group leader has a SENA 20. It took us a half an hour to pair up the M3 with the Sena. The only way is exactly the way the instructions describe it, which is roundabout and not like other systems. Basically, you have to treat the SENA system as another mobile phone, and pair with it. There are limitations then , not true intercom for multiple riders (unless they all have the M3!)
PROS:
packaging, appearance, contents, instructions all good to excellent. Good build quality.
Camera works as described, and a plus is that you can take still shots while video is being shot. Significant 'fish eye' effect - see picture
I took phone calls easily and the people on the other end of the line did not complain about road noise, even when I was on the highway at 60mph
Includes two mikes, a boom type and a button type
Battery life seems to be very good, Rode 4 hours with it yesterday, recording video and talking, no problem
Although he could hear my engine noise, the other rider said the audio was a significant improvement over just a headset connected through the phone.
CONS
The app to view video on the iphone without off loading the files does not work. Waste of time.
No Instructions are given as to how to position the device on the helmet for video. I spent a long time trying to get it right and still ended up with the camera pointed in a slightly off angle.
Speaker volume- max speaker volume could be louder and volume between apps is not consistent. For example, Audio instructions/confirmations from the system are lower volume than pairing conversation or map instructions.
Does not seem to have an option to record the paired conversation as part of the video without the road noise. This is a feature on some other brands.
Either the instructions are slightly off, or procedures not intuitive, but device is very sensitive to the steps you take to turn stuff on and then it is hard to know how to back out, shut down, or exactly where you are in the process.
If you are riding solo or 2 up and you both have the M2 this is extremely great value for money!
If riding with a group of cyclists with mixed headsets, be prepared to take some time to set it up.

In short, good product in general for the price point.
Cons:
Mobile app is minimal and needs some update.
Mic for video is separate from the communicator mic (can`t add your voice to video while recording).

The recording picture is awesome the intercom feature works fine I haven't tested the intercome with a different brand yet I purchase 2 M3 one of them came with defective speakers (volume too low at max vol) waiting for seller to send me new set of speakers the wifi feature doesn't connect to M3 every time but I think that's a problem with the software as both units do the same thing other than that I think its worth the money
I would like to add that customer service was exceptional one of the units came with defective speakers and customer support quickly send me 2 sets of complete speakers, hard and soft mics. I'm upgrading my star rating to 5 STARS this company went above and beyond thank you.

So far this is great! Yes the voice sounds like a robotic foreigner but the quality of the audio, ease of installation, security provided by the mount and how well the whole thing works overall is amazing. Just as a headset it's worth the money. The camera is an added bonus.
If you use the RICAM app, turn the wifi on the unit on first. Connect to it on your phones wifi settings with the password in the instruction booklet. Turn on the app and then connect. Streaming live video over wifi there is a lot of lag, no surprise there. But using the app to browse the video is simple enough.

This is a good little cam/headset to have on your helmet.
Downfall, it will not connect with any other headsets that are not of the same brand. So not the best if you ride in groups.

Well first off right out of the box it is very well packaged and very sleek and agile looking. With a low weight ! Very easy installation with any helmet and comes with 2 mounting brackets one is a screw on one and the other has 3m adhesive on it both seem good ! No shake or anything while riding and recording! Video is very High in quality both during the day and night and I even rode in the ran at night and was crystal clear ! Mic is great as well when making calls or voice control while riding ! Background noise was minimal and sounded crystal clear when talking ! Bluetooth set up for music or voice command is really easy to pair and the speakers sound great for the price ! They have some nice highs and lows plus bass ! Everything is effortless from installation to helmet to recording the ride to listening to your Playlist! I highly recommend this unit for anyone on a budget that wants both a cam and comms system ! Also get a memory card because one is not supplied and also to view still pics or videos you need to download the RICAM app off the app store. We'll great product so far and worth the price ! Be safe riding!

Having footage on top of music is dope . Paring with other devices can be difficult at times but I think that may be an issue only if your battery isn't full. It works BEST on full battery. It is hard to hear conversations at speeds of 30+ especially if you have a loud bike already. People have no problem hearing me . Output is clear and many say that they cant even hear my bike while I'm riding. But truly is not the best for communication. Like I said. Not a bad starter. I've also had issues with the camera at times. I found that if you dont always have it at full charge the camera wont even come on. Footage isn't terrible but also not the best. If you're looking for HIGH quality footage an action camera or go pro is your best bet. Other than those few things I think this is a cool ass device and it looks cool on your helmet. Blinks green and blue in the circle and makes you look like your from tron . Great starter intercom . Had it for about 2 months now. But will be looking to get something better for talking while riding. I do a minum of like 60+mph and it's almost pointless to try and talk while riding. Also FM radio for those who use it. And the lady who talks thru the intercom has a sexy asian voice
