I gave this microscope to my son. He has a lot of fun with it.This device works really good for looking up close at anything.The camera quality is really good.There were no issues. I like it very much.

Works well, like most microscope products the instructions are a little confusing but workable, capable of low enough and high enough magnification to be a usable field device. We use for forensic evaluations.

Easy to set up.I am new to this hobby of collecting coins and clueless of what to look for.Good quality pictures.This makes identifying rare coins much easier.

The base is threaded together and has a thin lock nut to keep it adjusted. I wanted to disassemble it and put it back in its box while I’m not using it, BUT the threads seem to be cast and very sketchy. I don’t think it can handle being disassembled and reassembled repeatedly, so I am not disassemblying it. I use this to inspect computer boards and so far it’s working as expected. A solder(3/16?) joint takes up the entire screen so that’s working out. I can zoom in, but that’s sort of useless. I got a coupon and paid about $98.00 with tax so it’s good for the price point. One of my boards has a bunch of stand offs so it makes it a challenge, but I’m not sure any other microscope would allow more access. By the way, I could focus both close up and further away, so it worked out, but I had to hold the board while I inspected it.
It has memory card storage capabilities, I won’t need that. There are two lights that may or may not help, try pointing them away if you’re getting too much light. The power connection on the actual microscope is 90 degrees and kind of sketchy and difficult to install. I’m concerned that it may be an issue in the future.
