I got this unit to use while restoring and re painting my diecast cars. As I get older it is getting harder to see fine details when painting small parts. These lights are very bright and help to eliminate the shadows that sometimes show up.
I hope to get the magnifying part of this setup soon. but for now the lights are a big help.
The clamp that comes with this is pretty strong and the lights will flex in multiple positions and stay there. This does come with the USB cable and an inline remote switch.
I can definitely recommend this unit for what it is.

Works very well with nice image quality and good zoom. Sturdy base very easy to assemble. The display quality is good and the menu is fairly straight forward. A definitely great addition to any electronics workbench.

The build quality and visual quality of this microscope are well beyond my expectations and it performs VERY well. The magnfication is accurate and the entire structure is durable. Setting it up is very simple and from there it's all about making the necessary adjustments for YOUR comfort as it can handle most anything you are trying to do! The goosenecks are awesome and the screen has perfectly clear images. We're very happy with it!

I use this for closeup pictures of Hallmarks on gold and silver. Great focus and sharpness in all the photographs. My only wish would be a longer vertical arm to get a greater picture overall.

Only dislike i have is it comes with a short cord. That was easy enough to solve though.

Not a bad microscope for the money. Great for my coin collection, using the monocular was always a pain in the butt. Only issue I have is seems it’s cheaply made. 90% of it is plastic. Other than that no complaints

Its great for coin collecting, I wish I could get a shot of the entire coin. but you can zoom in pretty close
DESIGN FLAWS: When I hook this up to my IMAC the picture of my coin that's on the screen is mirrored but, when I take a picture of it, it flips back to normal. (if there is a way to change that in photobooth, I haven't figured it out yet) The slots for the SD card & micro USB charging port are so close to the back of the microscope that its very very hard to plug in & to insert the SD card (and I have small hands). My advice is to leave the USB plugged in then hook it back up to the adpter when you need to charge it.

I needed to repair my gauge cluster of my Eurovan: after setting up this microscope, I found bad solder joints on the connector, and some other solderjoints that went bad over 218k miles. Saved me a bundle in repair cost. Again, Love at first use!
Update: got contacted by the customer service: the sent me an upgraded connecting nut with more thread, so easier to install. Currently repairing an ECM: the microscope in indispensible, I am 67 and my eyes are not what they used to be.
Update2: had to email some pictures and made use of the remote control. The arm is not stable enough when touching the photo button (logical, at high magnification) and the remote worked perfectly. Also started to use the remote to increase and decrease the magnification. Very nice to have that.

Terrific image quality, and the ring light provides the perfect amount of working light. The interchangeable lenses really help! I was able to do SMD component-level repair one minute, then switch to taking still pictures of electronic parts (for manufacturer ID) the next.
I've only got two gripes: First, the flex arm could be longer and could use another joint. Second, the focus adjustment could be smoother. It's got more backlash than I'm completely comfortable with. Outside of those issues, though, this was a very worthwhile purchase.

Great image quality on 1080 screen coupled with decent optics and nice control set. Like that you can store photos or video on included SD card. Almost useless instructions and confusing software interface. Nice dedicated function button mysteriously labeled with a 'D' provides choice of live view, still photo, or video. Also a light level button hidden on back. USB connection on back a little cramped. Good sturdy stand. On our Christmas list for families with children, if adults don't commandeer for hobby use or just all around interesting and educational use.
