This is a nice creative filter that gives an attractive 4-point or 8-point starburst when pointed at a light source or bright reflection. It should be noted that softer light sources will give a less defined effect that can end up looking almost more like a rainbow halo, but hard light sources will give a nice pointed star. In my tests, there is a minor loss in sharpness and contrast with this filter, but nothing noticeable if you're not pixel-peeping. There is a very minor magenta color shift with the filter as well, but the average person probably would never notice it. Optically this filter is very good for the price, and the threads are pretty decent. I find this filter a little tricky to get started when threading it on, but in the 5-6 times that I've taken it on and off of my camera, I've had no issues with it cross-threading or getting stuck on my step-up ring.

For people who have a lens with a 67mm opening, this is an interesting filter.
It screws on easily and you can rotate the front of the filter to change the effect. In one position, no effect seen. Keep turning the front element and you will see the star 'beams' reaching out from the light source. There is a point in the rotation where the four light 'beams' will be noticed, continue rotating and you will reach another point where 8 beams will be noticed.
If you prefer to 'add' light beams in post-processing, this is not for you. These beams will be captured in the image.
Using this with a bright light source seems to overwhelm the optics and you get a prism effect captured. A dimmer light source shows the 'beams' best.
One negative for me is that I do not trust putting my 66mm lens cap on this filter. It seems to hold but comes loose with a minor bump.
If you like playing with your camera and have a 67mm lens, this is a filter that will allow you to capture some interesting effects.

Special effect filters like this K&F Concept star filter typically work best at night, when you can make the lights look really cool and add star streaks in your image as well as softening your image as well. This filter is pretty near in that it is variable, and you can make it have 4 or 8 point stars by giving it a twist. I did find this filter to pick up dust for some reason more than I am used to, but could have just been the environment I was in when I was using it, but even out of the package it had dust on the filter. It's a good think they include lens wipes so you can clean the glass, which is a nice touch. This filter is also pretty thick, so if you are looking for a thin lightweight filter you might want to look for something else. However, it performs well, adds a nice star and softening effect and image quality is pretty good.

This is a basic star burst filter that works as advertised. You can rotate the outer ring to go from a 4 point star to an 8 point star. This is an effects filter so I'm not expecting distortion free light transmission. In fact I'm counting on the lens flare (star burst) and some distortion. With that in mind and used judiciously, this filter did produce some pleasing effects. So far my testing has been limited to test shots with wide-angle lens using large (numerical) f-stops.
