This makes a great gift for a curious child that's into science, nature or, bugs. It came with a small screwdriver to add a battery (it doesn't include one, AAA size), instructions, a handheld microscope with a light, a carrying pouch, a lens cleaning cloth and 5 microscopic slides (with case) that already have things like bug parts and plant cells to see using the microscope. I was surprised that the slides already had things to look at. They are glass, so if your child is younger or they have small siblings that might grab them, you may want to keep them put up and only let them use them with supervision. I gave this to my grandson and he loves it!!! Packaged well, great for gift giving and well worth $20.

This is a nice little microscope with a decent power range. The upper dial is for your magnification and the lower dial is for focus. The LED is bright enough to light up for what you are trying to view. They give you 5 prepared slides of insect and plant parts but would have rather being given a couple of blank ones. I would recommend this microscope for both children and adults.

Wow! This little microscope is excellent in the 60X setting but if you're going to bump it up to 120X you will see a different world just looking at the surface of a sheet of plain white copier paper. I looked at the provided slides and am amazed at the clarity of the images just on the 60X setting. Make sure your background is white, lay the slide on a sheet of white paper so you can find your target. Can be used to find those stubborn splinters in your fingers from yard work or carpentry projects! Amazing little microscope that opens you eyes to a different tiny world.

This is a fantastic mini microscope, really works well. Easy to use, place directly on slide you're viewing or on a leaf or other flat surface to see amazing detail. Zoom wheel on top to change magnification from 60X to 120X, bottom wheel to adjust focus/clarity. Comes with 5 pre-loaded slides of insect and plant specimens. Comes with a bag/case, small enough to carry in your pocket for outdoor hikes and nature walks. Makes a great gift for a child or teen interested in science and biology.

This little handheld microscope is just what you need to read the fine print on all the electronic gadgets these days. Easier to use than a USB microscope, and you don’t need a screen to use it. The light is usually necessary so it’s great that it’s included. Nice little tool.

I love this little thing. It's small, comes with a few sample slides, and only needs a AAA battery to power the LED light. A nice soft carrying case is included as well. The function is super simple with a single button to toggle the light on and off as well as two knobs for zoom level and focus.

I was surprised how well this works. Not sure I needed the slides with bug parts to inspect, but it does give you something to explore and see how well it really works. I tried it on a pad of paper and could actually see the strands of material you can't see with the human eye. Great item.. more than just a novelty... convenient tool.

This is such a cute little microscope that is a fun way to show your kids the up close side of every day items. We loved looking at the included slides as well as all kinds of normal household items, especially looking at the finer details of money was very fascinating. This is a very impressive microscope for the low affordable price and it only needs one AAA battery to use which is great.

I was really on the fence with this microscope, but decided to give it a shot, and so glad I did!! Very easy to setup and focus. We were able to view all the slides clearly, and my kids had an easy time adjusting the microscope.
The top dial zooms in and out, and the bottom dial that is closest to the slide is used to focus. They both turned smoothly and didn’t stick at all.
I fully recommend this because of the price tag, quality, and ease of use. It actually works much better than the pricier microscope we purchased that quit working after just a few uses, and we’re able to use the slides we had for that one with this new one. I’m beyond happy with this product, and I know you will be too whether you decide to use it for learning or just for fun.

Good for the little one to explore and understanding more about cell and structure.
