Easy to use but had a hard time using it on the beach but is excellent on dirt

The garrett 250 was very easy to use. My mother in law lost her 9000.00 diamond ring in her front yard. I went down to her house after reading the booklet of instructions, and within an hour I had found her ring!! I scored major points that day!! I have since found a few items her and there. I enjoy the search! For. A beginners this metal detector is #1 . It has all kinds of options for different types of metals.It is a very light detector, and I would recommend the Garrett 250 to anyone who is looking for a hobby or to update old equipment.

My wife decided to get into medal detecting, so I got her this hoping she would discover buried treasure on our property. While I’m still waiting on the treasure, she has found several “things” that are useless. Our outings consist of her operating the detector and me digging numerous holes. It seems to work just fine, but I can’t help but question the accuracy of the operator.

This is a top notch product that made PaPaw Bob A #1.I hide some “Pirate Treasure" (pocket change) through out our 3 acre pasture.

I haven‘t used it much, but when I have, it has done the job for me! Case in point: I lost the license plate off my trailer and had an idea where it had fallen off, but a foot of snow had fallen, making visual sighting impossible. I employed the metal detector and found the plate under all that snow in less than 5 minutes!! Not precious metal, but it saved me from having to pay for a replacement plate at the courthouse! Lol

It’s a metal detector. It works. Im sure if you took the time and really tweaked the discrimination it would be really good.

I searched many different metal detectors in my price range. The Garrett ACE 250 works better than expected.
