For video, I often have to adjust the ND filter quickly and when there's no hard stops, I would enter the 'X' zone. If it came with hard stops at MAX and MIN then it'd make the use much nicer. I wouldn't have to look at the filter to know where the limits are. Even when I decide to look at the filter, the markings are only on one side, so I would have to flip the camera around to see the triangle that indicates where you are. Otherwise, the picture quality is sufficient and helps bring my shutter speed down.

K&F has been crushing it, but this ND takes the cake for me. Really high quality parts and so easy to mount and use. This is exactly what my gearbox was missing so I'd highly recommend it to you if you're on the hunt for a great variable ND that covers all bases and doesn't require you to have 10 in a little sleeve somewhere getting dusty and painstakingly frustrating to take on and off every time you want to go one stop up or down. Get it!

I mounted this on the end of my Canon lens. It screwed on flawlessly. The threads are well machined. What I like most about this is the convenience of not having to carry several filters. I am not a professional, but I like to take a lot of pictures. The adjustment rings turns easily and it moves infinitely without notched stops. In my use, I found no issues with my pictures. I did not experience any vignetting. This gives me the ability to practice my shots while simply rotating the ring and not having to change out filters. It works well for a relative novice like me, until I gain more experience with this type of filter.

I noted that once mounted, you are unable to use your existing size lens cap. Not a big issue, however.

I ordered this K&F Concept 52mm Variable ND2-2000 (1-11 Stops) ND Camera Lens Filter to use with my iPhone 13 Pro Max.

I have several sets of top-line ND filters that I use with my cameras, but I wanted to get a variable ND filter that I could use with my phone. I've got an attachment that lets me mount 52-58mm filters on my phone, so attaching this ND filter was no problem. Yes, I could use my higher-quality filters as well, but they are much larger and, to be honest, I don't want to take the chance of ruining them if they should fall off my phone.

I was pretty impressed with the overall quality of this filter. I did not notice any flare or serious color shift, and you can get almost all the way to the max filtration before you see the dreaded X pattern so common to variable ND filters. If you're just starting out with ND filters and are interested in seeing what they can add to your photography, this offering from K&F Concept is a low-cost way to get started.

The 49mm ND filter came in a typical filter case along with three pieces of microfiber cloth.

The filter looks well made. Clear markings on the filter and so easy to rotate and set it to the desired setting. It is easy to mount the filter onto the lens and remove it. The lens cap fits over the filter just fine.

I shot quite a few images, the light gathered by the lens is reduced as the filter ring is rotated to a higher stop. Happy with the results for occasional use. I can use this filter for long exposure to get say motion blur. My initial review with some shots of the trees showing the light reduction got rejected and so not including them this time.

This is a good quality ND filter for $28.99.

Being variable ND is really nice - just one filter to carry for a wide range, and fast to adjust. Adjusting is smooth. This fits 49mm lenses but needs a 52mm cap and I am disappointed one was not included - other K&F kits have a cloth case and sometimes a lens cap. When the filter cao size is the same as the lens it makes sense to not have a cap but as this one needs a different size it is annoying. It also affects filter stacking. I am also disappointed in the case. Withiut the plastic bag snapped in the case edge the filter slides around a lot and it seems unsafe. Due to the odd size of this filter it also needs the lens hood removed and the hood cannot fit on top.

Except the weird sizing (and lack of cap), and case, the filter itself is really nice. It blocks out a lot of light and allowed for a lot more variety of settings on bright sunny days for outdoor shooting.

I'm a full time filmmaker and I do use several K&D products. I own ND2-ND400 which is from 1 to 9 stops and I love it. Is it the absolute best ND filter out there? No, but cost benefit is unbeatable.
So when the ND2-2000 1 to 11 stops was released I got interested. I never actually sat down to do a camera test with my existing ND filter. Images always looked good to me, and I was fine with that.

How the test was conducted - I used my Sony A7IV mounted on a tripod with a Cine Rokinon DXS 50mm at f 5.6 which is super sharp at 5.6. I set shutter to 1/80 and used a remote shutter to avoid any vibration in the image. ISO was set to auto. I wanted to see how much ISO variation would happen as I increased the ND dial. Now thinking I should have used an automatic lens and set Aperture priority to see how many F stops the ND would actually trigger but only my cine lenses are 77mm and I don't have a step down ring yet. So, that said:

PROS - The filter maintains sharpness and color accuracy throughout it's full ND range, which is amazing.
CONS - It gives the image a slightly more red tone. Honestly for skin tones as you can see on the images attached to this review, I actually liked it better, but it does add a bit of color to the image, as expected, especially in this price range.

I also noticed that the first 4 stops did not seam to make much of a difference. The camera ISO remain at 800 from stop 1 to 3, and it goes SUPER dark from stop 10 to 11, really, really dark. I want to take a picture of the sun with this ND filter to test it out.
Overall for the price it is more than a no brainer. If you are shooting a cinema grade film with an ARRI and some $20,000 cinema lenses, no, not for you. But obviously you can afford the high end ND filters. For social media and smaller budget productions, this filter is PERFECT.
Great buy!
Great ND Filter especially for the price. Great ND Filter especially for the price.

I’ve never used a variable ND filter, so this was really cool to be able to test out. It came in a protective plastic hard case along with three microfiber cleaning cloths. While slightly heavier than normal nano filters, I still was surprised at how lightweight it was comparatively.
Adjusting the strength of the ND was smooth as butter. The ring glides with minimal effort to achieve a lighter or darker filter between the min and max settings. If you keep twisting it past these points, it goes through the same grading scale until it reaches the starting point again. The threading is well made, so installing it on my lens was easy.
After some testing, I haven’t seen any vignetting or loss in sharpness. There is only minimal color shifting, and I didn’t notice any until around the ND1000 mark.
The image quality is fantastic with this, but the really beauty of it is the convenience. While it doesn’t take a long time to change a filter, it becomes annoying quick having to switch multiple times. It also takes up precious space in your kit when you are trying to travel light. With this, there is no more fumbling with multiple filters trying to get the right combo for the shot. If I need to adjust, I just give the ring a quick twist and I’m good to go. And instead of a case with multiple filters taking up space, I have one filter that does the job of a whole set. It’s absolutely fantastic. Nice job K&F!

My first foray into filters and I'm excited to use this beyond testing indoors and out in direct daylight. The filter comes in a plastic case, which I appreciate. The lens fits great on my Nikon and I love how it's a variable filter, so you're able to shift the lens to create a more dense filter effect along with a wide range of stops. Pretty happy overall and I'm pretty sure this will be a main driver during the summer.

I upgraded to this K&F VND2-2000 from my K&F VND2-400. This gives me more versatility when I need to get that light stopped down. Weather I'm shooting waterfalls and need long exposure or I'm shooting slow motion and need to stop the light down to keep my shutter consistent, the extra ND is perfect. I'm a fan of K&F their filters are very affordable and the image quality is still quite clear. The build quality and tolerances are quite nice.
