The phone mount/frame arrived very well packed in a professionally printed box bearing the K&F branding.

Although listed as being for 'iPhones' the rig will accommodate ANY modern phone as the main holder is of the standard spring loaded type found on most mobile phone video accessories.

All parts of the folding frame appear to be made from a quality anodised aluminium and all hinges operate smoothly.

When in use the frame holds your phone securely and with it's two side handles allows you to smoothly video in all directions minimising any jerkiness.

The frame features a multitude of accessory mounting options with three cold shoe brackets, five 1/4-20 threaded holes and even an Arca Swiss compatible plate at the bottom of the phone holder allowing the unit to be mounted on a tripod.

When not in use the whole device folds into a compact unit that can be stored in a decent sized pocket.

The foldable smartphone rig tried out here is surprising in that it is made entirely of metal and therefore looks robust and high-quality. You could almost assume that K&F Concept has taken one of the many outdoor multi-tools as a model here.

The rig is made to a really high quality and, even though the handles feel quite cold, has a pleasant feel. Thanks to the ingenious folding mechanism, the rig can also be folded wonderfully compactly and fits in almost any pocket

This really is a quality item. The construction appears to be all metal with the exception of the sprung loaded top holding clamp. It also has a nice weight to it, which always helps to convey that sense of quality. The two handles on the sides swivel in your hands, allowing you to smoothly pan over a scene as required. The 3 shoe ports on the top are an excellent addition to add extra lighting or other items. The bottom is also threaded to allow tripod mounting which is a nice touch. It’s a great addition to have in your kit bag when you’re shooting footage on the go.
