Perfect size, nice weight, and stronger than I expected. Easily helps steady my D800 with Tamron 70-300 lens, with a little weight added from me to hold it steady.I've added a small ballhead to give me a little more flexibility in positioning. The included case is very nice, but doesn't allow any extra space for the attached ballhead. I still use it, as I can usually leave the ballhead stick out of the zipper.NEW INFORMATION: (July 19, 2019)After using this monopod for about 4 years, I am noticing a slight wiggle below the point where I've mounted my ballhead. Considering that I've been using this monopod to hold a small camcorder (Sony AX100), and in many cases, using the monopod as a boom arm to extend the positioning of the camcorder, I consider this perfectly acceptable considering the price I paid.To provide a fuller picture, I've been using this monopod quite a bit over the last 4 years, and have taken it on several trips. It has held up well. The only downside for me is the fact that it uses a 1/4" screw to mount a camera directly, whereas I would prefer a 3/8" screw to mount a ballhead more securely than when using an adapter as I have been doing. The ballhead comes in handy when shooting vertical photos, and when shooting anything not straight in front of you. Rarely needed for video, though.

I don't want to have to lug around a full tripod, but sometimes it would be nice to have something to stabilize the camera without relying on my surroundings. This monopod is a good value for occasional use.It is 21.25 inches long when fully contracted. It fits snugly on the side of my Slingshot 102AW bag, with just the padded portion going past the top of the bag. Easy to take out and set up. As others have mentioned the rubber base does not provide much protection over the metal tip, so be careful on delicate surfaces. The sections lock easily and securely. No issues with them slipping while in use. It's functional as a walking stick for balance but of course that use is not recommended. I only partially extend the smallest section and it gets the camera right at eye level. Great for long exposures (I can get 1 or 2 seconds combined with the camera's image stabilization), video, or just sighting with a telephoto.

Solid construction. Superior functionality. Unfortunate labeling. Why unfortunate labeling? Because it doesn't say 'Manfrotto', or 'Gucci' or some other slavish reference to fashion. Many of my American brethren are in love with labels, and sometimes this preoccupation with labels inordinately influences the selection of various items. Well, if you need a 'label', go on and spend your $$$ on silly stuff like a label, or feel the need for 'Carbon-fibre graphite' construction on something so functional as a monopod. Hey, it's your money. And many times I hear things like: "More money than sense..." Well, this is one instance where I whole-heartedly underwrite good sense and puzzle over the purchase of an item at more than ten times the price of this well-executed concept of design. So, if you wanna spend $180 on a monopod, then get in your Infinity and drive to your nearest Wolf photography retailer and throw that green down on the counter and impress folk you don't know with money you don't really have for something you don't really need and walk away feeling so much the better for being 'All Hat And No Cattle'...Oh, I almost forgot...It's also a great walking-stick...

This is about our 3rd or 4th of these units; they each seem to last about two to three years with near-daily use in all kinds of conditions (heavy rain, sand, sun and surf associated with the Pacific Northwest), which is remarkable as it is so lightweight. We had one fail during its first year but it was replaced without charge; the others held up really well under heavy use but seem to lose the threads on the mounting head after about two years or so. For the price we like it far better than anything else we have used, and this is coming from a retired professional photographer.

I've had this a while now, replaced my old one that was stolen. I've used it a lot, and looking forward to this year's airshow and trains season. The one I had before cost me more, but with this one I feel like I got more. It's well made, solid, and the extension clips don't want to slip. It's firm, doesn't wobble, yet it's light, so doesn't overly burden this old fart that's already walking with a stick and carrying his lunch, pills, a bottle of water and the camera gear. It matters. If my stuff got stolen again, and I had an excessive insurance settlement to invest in a replacement, I'd buy this exact same thing again. It does everything I need, all I expect, doesn't weight too much, very well made, and fairly priced. What more can you ask for? So, five stars. I recommend this monopod unless you have some incredibly heavy camera/lens setup and need a log to hold it up.

I initially gave this mono-pod a glowing review, based on my Nikon D850 with 24-70mm lens. Once I attached my Nikkor 200-500 lens, the thing became very unstable at the top (where many people have had similar stability issues). I generally love kf concept Basic items. But this is a huge miss! If you plan to attach anything other than a camera mount, save your money and look elsewhere.

I was a bit leery of buying this monopod based on some of the reviews and pictures that were submitted where the screw snaps off. However, I didn’t expect to put much hard use on it, and it’s kf concept Basics, and I trust that brand.I have used it now several times at sporting events, but only with a light iPhone adapter attached to it. It holds up just fine. Keep in mind that I’ve got nearly zero weight applied to the screw, so if you’re attaching heavy lenses and such, then my experience may not apply. The monopod does telescope down to a small size. Also, it extends fully to 63”, which is a length that is honestly a bit too long. I’m 6’ 1”, and I find the camera/phone to be uncomfortably high. As a result, I usually end up lowering it a smidge to make it more comfortable.NOTE: I specifically bought this monopod so it’d be too long instead of too short. You can always shorten it, but there’s no (quick and easy) way to make it longer. It comes with a black polyester travel/storage bag to keep the dust and dirt off. Nice touch. The bottom of the lowest leg has a rubber foot for use on hard surfaces. It also has a metal spike that is retracted inside the rubber for use in soft ground. My only issue with this approach is that you can get dirt up in the rubber foot if you’re not careful. I’d prefer that there was a detachable rubber foot covering the spike, similar to how hiking poles work. That’d eliminate the issue of dirt getting up in there.Overall, I really like this monopod. It’s just what I expected and I recommend it.

The headline ("well-made, functional") might not sound exciting, but those are key qualities. For the price, my expectations were modest for even one monopod. To get two for that price smacked of cheaply-made. Glad I was wrong. These monopods are sturdy and easy to use. The handstraps also make them useful as walking sticks. That latter feature was fortunate. I wanted a monopod for use on our African safari. My spouse sprained her ankle and was able to use them to assist in getting around on the safari. An all-around solid purchase with more value that I planned. The only downside (if you can call it that) is the length. When fully collapsed, they are a very tight fit in carry-on luggage. I was able to just squeeze them into my backpack. It worked out, though another half inch and they would not have fit. For their designed purpose, these monopods are great.

Solid! kf concept comes through with another great productThe base has a metal tipped spike covered by a rubber foot. Twist to the left to use the rubber foot, Twist to the right to use the metal spike. They can not be seperated.Metal feels nice and sturdy. If you're ever caught in an alley with Ninjas, this would make a great weapon to defend yourself. The top of the stick comes with a standard thread to fit most camera and camcorders. No attachment for Cell phones, but if I'm pretty sure you can find an attachment.Lock mechanism is solid, but would not work well as leg prosthetic or a drunk kick stand. The bag holder feels good and durable. It has a canvas feel to it. Will not withstand bullets, but you can use it to store knives and swords without worrying about the bag puncturingThe bag is a comfortable fit. for the monopod, but not a super snug fit which allows you to get the pod in and out without struggling.

Easy to use and the case makes it effortless to transport. Bought one for my daughter too.
