K&F Concept 63'' Camera Monopod 5-Section Height Aluminum Monopod With Metal And Rubber Feet 2-in-1 Design,Lightweight & Portable Camera Accessories
SKU: KF09.138
The kf concept Basics 63" monopod is really just that, a basic monopod. It comes contained in a nice canvas carrying bag, has three extendable legs so as to let you adjust the height and the whole thing simply screws into camera mount (or lens mount depending on the lens). It does hold the weight quite nicely (I tested this out with a Canon 5d mk iii and a Sigma 50-500 lens so the combination was fairly hefty) and gives you more stability in your shots than just hand holding the camera and lens, but obviously not as much stability as a full tripod. It is lightweight and easy to carry around with your equipment. An added benefit is the spike on the bottom if you uncover the foot stopper which helps when you are shooting on grass or in the sand. One thing I am slightly worried about are the leg snaps. These seem fairly cheap and look like they can be broken easily if you are not careful or through normal wear and tear. The snaps do lock fairly tightly so the monopod legs don't retract whilst in use. It's not the best monopod I've used and I wonder how long it will last but for the price, even if it breaks in a year, I've had my money's worth out of it and will simply buy another. It does what it's supposed to do and will hold hefty pieces of equipment easily.

I had low expectations but it turns out this monopod is perfect for my 10x42 binoculars (adapters purchased separately). I'm 5'7" tall, and I use this star gaze as well as for some terrestrial viewing; with the binocular attachment (adds a couple inches), I'm able to comfortably point the binoculars at both earthbound targets and celestial targets. Naturally, if you point your binoculars at zenith, you're going to have a problem, but a more expensive monopod wouldn't fix that. The alternative I was looking at was a $200 monopod, so I used the $180 I saved on some new telescope gear. ;)

You def want to buy the ball so you’re not moving your camera all the time but this worked really well for my recent photoshoot where the lighting is usually bad. My pics would’ve came out blurry without this!

I bought this as a replacement for a different manufacturer's product that broke. This one is very designed (stronger) and meets my needs completely. I love the "fat" hand grip on this model as it is much easier to hold and keep steady. Great buy.

To steady my camera has performed very well on my first outing at a sports event. Steady's the the camera and the natural body shacking is limited.Using my telephoto lens is a breeze. Steady your shots better pictures. Will review more at another time using it at other events. Brand new and receive in within the specify time.

I got this for a trip to Glacier National Park (P.S. if you get a chance go there) and this preformed well. I wanted something light that I could use as a monopod and still use for hiking. To be fair I am a 250lb guy hiking with a stick that is not meant to be used in this way but it held up just fine. Some times if I pressed to hard (probably 150lb of weight or more) it would collapse a couple of inches. In addition at the end of the week the bottom rubber foot was barely on so I ripped it off. If I had it to do again I would because it fit my specific needs at the time (I was borrowing a camera so I didn't want to invest too much) but if I had my own camera I would try to find something better suited for hiking but that is just my needs.
