Ill start off by saying I am no expert. The majority of bad reviews are because people do not understand that these adjustable filters are not supposed to be used to their full capacity. Any filter will start giving issues when turned to their max. With that said, just practice with this filter first and know its limitations. You will be a happy customer if you do.

Conventional wisdom says never buy cheap ND filters! Always pay hundreds of dollars! Or you know, get this one (so far great for video in ridiculous sunlight - ISO 200 f/1.7 = crystal clear sky, not a pixel overexposed) and use the money you saved to buy another lens or other peripherals. Fits perfectly with nice, firm threads, the variable spins smoothly, no green hue or blotchy lines that I could see, even at 4k zoomed in, and comes in a cool protective case that fits like a glove in my bag.
I have a tripod and EF to 4/3 adapter from K&F Concepts, and these guys haven't disappointed yet. Quickly becoming one of my favorite companies.

This filter works for me perfectly and I am very satisfied with the results I have had while using it. It is noteworthy that the size of lens cap you need once this is on your lens will increase. I bought the 49mm and needed to increase my lens cap size to a 52mm to accommodate the larger thread size on the front. This wasnt a huge deal though as I already had a 52mm lens cap laying around. There is a size corresponding chart on the company website that will tell you what size lens cap you need depending on which size filter you buy. Hope this helps

I ordered three of these variable ND filters for my Canon lenses and have found these filters to be of excellent quality. The filters operate in the same way a polarizing filter does. The outer rim of each filter is knurled for easy grip and adjustment. The outer lens is slightly larger than the inner lens which accomodates the view of wide angle lenses.

Here in Arizona we have 320 sunny days a year. The sun is bright and intense. A ND filter is pretty much a must if you want control over the quality of the video you are shooting. This particular variable ND filter works well on my Fuji X-T4. It allows me to set my lens at f4 and keep the exposure perfect. Setting the lens at f4 means it will be in the sharpness sweet zone, thereby producing great video. It is a great ND filter for the money spent.

Good filter for price. I'm not a professional or any kind of expert but I just needed it for outdoors for my dslr. It does the trick.

This is the first time that I had used a variable ND filter so I was a little bit skeptical.
I thought that it would cause uneven lighting across my picture, but to my amazement, it does not. Actually I really cool little product, not sure how it works, but as you turn the filter the lens will darkn or lighten accordingly and is very even all the way across.
Have not noticed any color cast or any issues with picture quality. I actually ordered a second one for another lens that I video with.
I have only used this filter for video, no stills, so I have not cropped in to see if there has been any decrease in sharpness, but have not noticed any decrease in video quality. would purchase again.

...Remember, this is a variable filter based on polarizing filters. Thus, when photographing skies or water reflections, the density is not uniform across the whole area. Good use for my wide range applications.

This is a product I chose after reading the reviews. It is highly recommended for starter photographer. The adjustable feature is definitely.
I have taken multiple photos with and without the filter, and will different settings on the filter, and I can see the improvements in the results.

I've used the filter for a few weeks now and overall it is a decent product. The build quality is great but i needs some sort of click adjustment. I had to stop taking photos just to adjust it and when i have the camera clipped to me since the filter does not lock into position it could change the setting i had without me knowing.
Conclusion this is a good starter ND filter if your just getting into photography. It does what it needs to do without any bells and whistles.
I would recommend this product for beginners or someone needing a cheap replacement or emergency backup.
