Kenfaith's typical quick delivery: the UV filter from K&F that I use on my Fuji X100 Classic arrived today. The filter is only suitable for the X100 series.
Well packaged and quickly installed, the UV filter fits perfectly and looks good. The material quality and workmanship is high quality. Other attachments must be removed. The product is recommended!
As usual with K&F top product

I have loads of various types of filters in my kit, many of which have come from different manufacturers over the years. In recent times however, I've tended to stick with K&F for this type of gear. It's always good quality, there's plenty in the range for whatever job you need it for, and basically it's a case of sticking with what you know and are happy with.

Good stuff, and on a quality/value-for-money basis.... an easy 5-Stars.

This filter from K&F Concept offers UV protection to your precious Fujifilm X100 Series lens. It is a top quality item: sturdy, easy to mount, perfect optics, no optical aberrations or problems. The silver color matches the camera perfectly.

One thing to know: do not get it for any other 49 millimeters lens mount: the threads of the X100 Series are proprietary so it won't fit.

As a photographer, I'm always looking for ways to protect my lenses and improve image quality. This UV filter does both. It's slim and lightweight, so it doesn't add any noticeable bulk to my camera. The magnetic design makes it quick and easy to attach and remove, and the multi-resistant coating helps to keep my lens clean. I've noticed a slight improvement in image clarity and color fidelity since using this filter.

First of all: I am not a fan of always using a lens with a UV protection filter. No matter how good it may be: every air-glass surface in front of the lens impairs the imaging performance and affects the optical design of the lens. It may not always be visible, but in extreme situations (e.g. stray light) it can lead to blurring, poorer contrast or flares. Due to the hard coating of the front lenses, this protection is usually unnecessary.

However, there are always situations in which mechanical protection of the front lens is more important than the disadvantages described above. In this case, the UV protection filter from K&F Concept is a good choice, because its nano-coating (28 layers!) at least keeps the inevitable flares under control. In terms of color, it is relatively close to the silver of the X 100.

One more tip: nano-coated filters tend to magically attract dust. Here, care should be taken to keep them clean so that the contrast and sharpness of detail are not negatively affected.
