I got it for soldering. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would find something so suited, and that worked so well, at such a low price. It has video out via USB-C, so I can use my big screen, which is a huge advantage; the controls are intuitive and easy - and it'll capture video or stills, which is nice.
But - the big feature, that I never saw coming - I was hoping that it would give me enough relief, between the objective and the "deck" - to solder under. I was hoping for 2 or 3 inches. I can run it up to its max relief/max height - about 6" of relief - and it'll still focus clearly! This microscope is probably a good choice for stamps, coins, and for bugs and whatnot for kids (with adult help) - but it is absolutely perfect for soldering (and trying to identify electronic components).

This is a very impressive Microscope / magnifier especially at this price point. It was easy to assemble, just put the holder onto the bottom of the vertical post and put the post into the base. The optics bottom then goes into the holder piece, and it is ready to go.
It has an internal rechargeable battery that runs everything and is charged from a USB cable. It has built in LED lights on the bottom and it moves up and down the column and has an adjustment knob of the bottom for zoom magnifier function. The built in Lcd display is very crisp and clear and there are lots of options for viewing and for taking and storing images on a memory card of through the USB port.
This would be great for inspection on electronics circuit boards or looking at insect samples or pulling a splinter out of your finger. This would be great to use in the lab or just with the kids.

I use this 7-inch digital microscope and it's a fantastic tool for my coin collecting hobby. The 1200x magnification allows me to clearly see even the smallest details and the HD IPS screen makes it easy to see everything without straining my eyes. The adjustable LED light ensures that everything is fully illuminated. It's also very convenient because it's PC-compatible, so I can easily share what I'm seeing with others. Its console is a little hard to get used to at first, especially when switching between zoom levels. It takes a little practice to get everything dialed in. This is a sturdy, well-built microscope that offers a lot of use and saves a lot of time, especially for hobbyists or anyone who needs a high-quality digital microscope for detailed work.

This microscope has made such a huge impact for my favorite hobby! I started coin collecting with my grandfather and this has been a total game changer. I can easily set this up and inspect our weekend finds! It’s light and compact and works amazing! It is powerful and convenient, way better than a light and magnifying glass! I can see details clearly and efficiently!

I got this for my uncle who's always fixed my electronics, but now he's getting older he finds it harder to fix the smaller circuits and just gives up. This device means I get 10 more years of him fixing my electronics :)

I recently got the Digital microscope, and it’s been a game-changer! The magnification gives such clear, detailed views , and the screen is a great size. The 8 LED lights are adjustable, so I can always get the perfect brightness. Plus, it connects easily to my laptop, making it even more versatile. This is a must-have!

La qualité de l'écran est vraiment pas mal pas extraordinaire non plus bien sûr, mais ça n'a rien à voir avec un microscope que j'ai pu avoir au collège (dans les années 2000) où il fallait juste regarder à l'intérieur là c'est vraiment incroyable, parfait pour les choses minutieuses où les petites expériences avec les enfants.

I was skeptical when looking at digital microscopes as so many times “you get what you pay for”. This microscope was super reasonable on pricing and it was on sale. The clarity on the included screen was awesome and when I connected it to my laptop and moved it to my 27” screen I did not lose any image quality! It has worked great for getting a closer look at my little axolotl babies (just wish the water babies would cooperate better)! Super easy to put together and use! I can’t wait to see what else it can do!

This microscope is really nice. The screen seems really solid and not flimsy. The picture is clear. Its perfect for looking at coins and jewelry. I think its a great deal. I would recommend it.
