Trying to take a long exposure photo at sunset or sunrise with a standard ND filter can be challenging. However, with this filter I was able to easily adapt to the changing lighting conditions and keep my shutter speeds where I wanted to ensure I was able to capture the light trails from the cars in their entirety. The filter did not produce any color cast, which is excellent for a filter in this price range. The K&F team has a winner on their hands with this filter.

Very easy to use, looks very good material. I love the result. Playing with the white balance you can get much better result. I have tested with ISO 100 f / 1.8 and 1/125 sec. when the sun does not let see anything in the camera, and this has allowed me to put it totally dark and also in a desired tone.

Taken with a Sony A7III. Liowa 90mm 2x macro. 30 sec exposure F22 Iso50. Had problems with light reflections on glass. I added this gem and was actually able to increase my exposure and shoot at a higher aperture, giving me incredible glass art drop shots! We recommend!

There's a fair bit of the 'black X' effect when it's at a low ND, but a lot of variable ND's have this unless you're balling out on one. I used this every day on my trip to Australia and it worked a charm at allowing me to film at a wider aperture (or a narrow one on really sunny days) and also served as a lens protector

This is a great little fader! It comes with a nice little plastic case for travel. Screws easily onto my 58mm lens. The dial rotates 360 degrees and goes from ND2 to BLACK and back again. Unfortunately my lens cap doesn't fit in here, the end is a bit too big. It's a shame, I'd love to have that on my camera all the time. It looks like this travel suitcase gets quite a bit of use.

I thought i'd try the budget option instead of the £100+ ones. I used this on a 10-22 lens & as the furthest angles there is a bit of darkness but its a case of zooming in a bit.Some points from my testing:-The screw thread it rather fiddly to put on but can deal with that.-The lens cover won't go on top-Worked brilliantly for very bright sunshine & sunsets (unedited pic attached)

Long exposure. At first I hardly used it, now I'm a huge fan. I shopped around and found the perfect tripod (carbon-fiber Manfrotto, also great). When that arrived, I mentioned to my friend I was planning on getting waterfalls with a slow shutter speed, and he said, "You gotta ND filter, right?" I knew I had a trip up to Letchworth coming up that weekend. That evening I rushed onto Amazon, shopped around, and found this product. Perfect size for my Zeiss 50mm and 35mm!

I didn't really get the chance to mess with this ND filter until I arrived at Letchworth and wow was I blown away! The crisp rolling ring and the crisp shade of black make this such an incredible product. So worth the price! I'm blown away by how it doesn't degrade the quality of my captures my lenses can get.

I love long exposure now. With my lightweight tripod and my filter, I can only grow.

I included a picture of a covered bridge in Cuyahoga Valley National Park taken with this filter. It was a eight second shutter speed.

If you're taking photos (or especially videos) outdoors in sunlight, you NEED a variable ND filter. When shooting video at 30 frames per second, you need to keep the shutter speed at 1/60 (due to the 180 rule) to achieve natural blur and smoothness. If you want a nice, blurry background at f/2.8, chances are your image will be terribly exposed, even at ISO 100. Your only options are to increase the shutter speed (and spoil the natural look by causing annoying "chopping") or increase the shutter speed to f/16, which will flatten your image and remove the desired blurry background! The variable ND filter is included in delivery. When attached like variable sunglasses, it lets in a lot of light, much like an intimidating bouncer at a nightclub. So just turn the ring on the filter and you can get your shot perfect! Two little things threw me off about this particular filter: 1. The ring doesn't have any real stops, just continuous rotation, so you can't really keep track of the specific amount of light you're letting in. 2. When the filter is on my Tamron 28-75 2.8 lens, I cannot put the lens cap on at the same time. Not a problem, but annoying when you want to quickly rotate a photo or video. But given the price, it's hard to argue that this isn't a great buy.

had a smaller diameter of this product for another lens and when I got my new lens the first thing I bought was this ND filter. It's incredible. And this one had little dots on the edge and text that said “Min” and “Max”. That was super helpful. My only gripe with the smaller models was that you couldn't tell how far away the maximum and minimum were, and that problem has been solved with this model. I don't go anywhere without this filter. From now on I will be buying a K&F variable ND filter for every lens I get.
