82mm Variable ND Filter, Fader ND2 to ND400 Adjustable HD Neutral Density Grey Filter with Cleaning Cloth for Camera Lenses
SKU: SKU0887
I purchased this ND filter for all of my lenses equipped with step-up rings and so far I'm pretty happy with it. It has some vignetting at the other end, but is fully usable up to 80-90% of ND. As far as color cast goes, I didn't notice any major differences or color shifts. Rated this ND 5/5 because it's great for its price.

This filter definitely works as advertised. I did thorough research and read many reviews before purchasing. Comes in a nice plastic box with some foam padding; I put a thin layer of foam there to keep it from moving around in my bag. I'm in Florida and shot this outside in the morning, midday and afternoon and on a cloudy day. Excellent results, even with flash. On the sunniest days, I didn't turn the setting up to the maximum setting (just below) and still got great results in both photos and videos. When shooting with a Canon 6DMII, I have three lenses that accommodate this 52mm lens. I'm not a "professional" but half of my income comes from photography and video. I would definitely recommend this filter. I feel kind of stupid for not buying it years ago, it could have saved a lot of recordings. After seeing the versatility of a variable ND in a video, I realized I must have been missing something. When I was looking for the item, I was amazed to see that the lower end of this series was around $250 to $300. If you create landscape images for museums or a major publisher you probably don't think twice about it and I'm sure these pieces are of high quality. However, if you are reading this, you have already encountered a few childish and smug comments that this article is not comparable to “professional” or “real” filters. You're here on Amazon - this thing works, try it. Finally, I saw a number of tantrum reviews insisting that this filter doesn't work and putting an "X" on the image. I suspect that's true... because the little page that accompanies the filter (and the online description) clearly states that turning the filter up to the highest setting results in this artifact, so they kind of advise against it Start doing that. Even if you cross the street at a red light, there is a risk that you will be run over. It works for me!

I only own K&F filters, I tried others for years and never got one with consistent image quality. This is the cure!

bought this filter to experiment with photographing waterfalls with silky smooth water like you see in professional images on Instagram. The filter seems to be made quite well - it screwed onto my lens easily and the rings are easy to turn. If you're taking long exposures, you'll need a tripod to keep them stable; I set up my camera and the first picture was exactly what I wanted. The water was silky smooth and showed the routes. I was also impressed that the filter didn't change the colors of the shot at all.

The K+F Concept Slim 52mm Variable Fader is a great item for several reasons, but its main function is to remove shadows/reflections from water and other non-metallic objects. I was really impressed with its functionality and how well it fastens, and I was equally impressed with its design and ease of use. Like other filters, this one is threaded and you can easily twist it to adjust it to your needs. The filter is also stackable so you can place additional filters or a cap on top, great for additional effects and preventing scratches. Speaking of scratches, using filters also helps protect your lens. So using filters not only creates a beautiful effect, but can also prevent random items from coming into contact with what would normally be an expensive item. I would also like to point out the packaging and commend the company for creating something that will keep your item safe using both hard plastic and soft foam. This is probably the best packaging with filter I have ever seen and it really made me happy to see it. Please note that this was supplied for trial purposes and was used multiple times prior to review. As with any filter, you should experiment with it before taking the shots you want to make sure you have it dialed in perfectly. This was a lesson I learned some time ago, and unfortunately the learning curve was steep.

I use it on my ZCAM E2-M4 lenses and it has been a dream to work with. I didn't notice any color shift or enough to worry that color correction might not correct. We film a lot outside and on the beach and this thing was an absolute must. Easy to use, turns well and sits firmly. I love this variable ND.

like to take a lot of waterfall images and needed another ND filter for some of my longer lenses. I used to use an ND filter or 2+ circular polarizing filter. This filter allows me to achieve slower shutter speeds with just one filter. The image quality looked great. I didn't notice any color distortion or softness from using the filter. I wish this filter had a hard stop if I had the ND settings set to Max or Min. The last time I used this filter it was a cloudy day at midday. I was able to shoot for 15 seconds at ISO 64, F8 and the filter set to the maximum.

Wow, the packaging is great and high quality right from the start. The product was delivered in a sturdy plastic case. The filter itself is of the highest quality and works perfectly. Highly recommended for someone breaking into this area! On a budget, this is one of the best you'll get!

I bought it to take photos in daylight. It works amazingly well and I can easily customize it. This just scares me because I can't use my lens cap while walking around so I keep taking it off and putting it back on.
