I wasn't expecting much, but I bought the EOS-M5 for the M42 mount and the FD at the same time.
Now that I'm tired of M lenses, I was able to use my old favorite lens, and I had fun bringing out the EOS-M5.
Compared to the M42 mount, the FD can be locked and opened (review with the new FD, with the old FD?), so it's not a problem to align the pins with the opening and then narrow the aperture. After setting the aperture beforehand, set the switch pin to OPEN, switch to LOCK, and release the shutter button. It's easy to use, and FDs have come into play frequently.
The construction was better than expected, and there are infinite points so there are no complaints, but if I had to make my wishes, it would have been nice if it was a little thinner without being bulky.

I really like this mount.

Really solid quality, all metal. Not too tight on the camera. Works with my FD lenses which have a push button to unlock. I haven't tried it with the older FD lenses with just the rotating ring mount.

I love being able to use my older lenses without having to lug film around.

It's also great to work with manual controls.

Comes with a basic plastic case, has no padding.

For the price compared to the other brands, there should have been caps to cover the ends when the lens is still on but needs to be switched to another lens.

Still good.
Good mount for older FD lenses.

The price was cheap so I thought it was sloppy, but I was a little surprised at how well built it was.
I tried wearing an FD aspherical lens and using it and the infinity came out perfect.
Next up. I plan on buying one for the M mount.

It doesn't rattle etc and I'm satisfied that it's easy to use ♪
No particular complaints!

Works well on my Canon M6 Mark II mirrorless. Would have given 5 stars except the mounting lock doesn't engage so it's too easy to twist it slightly and if twisted it will prevent the lens opening from narrowing to the set aperture.

If the squeeze ring is not fitted in the Lock position, the aperture blade will not move in the Open position.
The EOS M mount adapter is better built with only the narrower pin than the SONY E mount adapter (laughs), but contrary to the fact that the body is too small, the lens weighs quite a lot, so unless it's an adapter with a tripod seat, it puts a huge load on the mount and camera screw.

Most importantly, FD adapters don't require any tools, and there are few things that take the tripod seat off so this is a problem.

High expectations for this lens which is not needed but it has allowed me to use the old lens and I have tested it which worked wonderfully. It will give me some difficulty using it for the first time but look online to see how it works. I did and it worked well.

Seems very solid, autofocus works quickly and reliably on my XT30ii with Sigma 18-35. I can recommend it - especially for the price.

also works with the older Tamron zoom.

Betrayed by the age and weight of the bodies and lenses, I bought a lighter and more modern Sony body. The Canon 28-105 USM was a faithful companion, so I can keep it thanks to this adaptor ring.
