The Ring Light Helps With The Distance To The Subject
A few years ago I purchased a 60x lens for my phone and it had a "cover" around the lens to diffuse light so it illuminates the subject evenly. While the "cover" allowed to position the lens at a suitable distance from the subject, it was not worth using since it still cast harsh shadows. I was intrigued by how the 100x microscope had a ring light around the lens to illuminate the subject evenly.
As seen by the photos, it did a remarkable job illuminating the subject. These photos turned out quite good for being handheld, rather than having my phone mounted on a tripod. You can even see the reflection of the ring light on the droplets of "dew" at the end of the hairs of the sundew leaf.
The 100mm microscope comes with a nice short cable to recharge the built in battery to the light. It has a slider which slides off the lens and the light turns on automatically. Then, you can slide it back on the lens to turn off the light. It also is designed to work with a phone case on there, at least one of the cases which go up to around level the height of which the phone lenses protrude from the phone. One thing I do however wish it included a clip designed for thinner cases, or that could be tightened on there. Nevertheless, I was still able to take impressively close up shots as seen with the photos I included with this review.

Nice little magnifier for camera phone
Nice little attachable magnifier to catch the finer details in things.
The picture is a little blurry in spots, but admittedly I haven’t worked with this lense much yet. There may be something I could do to get a fully clear shot.

A nice close up!
Very easy to use. However, it is a 10x power. You then zoom in with your phone to increase the power. Very good lens and the led light is very nice. Very pleased with the microscope

Works great!
Bought to identify houseplant pests, but it has been so much fun using this! Once you get it centered over your phone camera you can open the cover fully for the LED light, or close it slightly so the light turns off. Make sure you charge it.

quality magnification for less
What a good product, I really like the simplicity of it. I was able to clip it on my phone and snap away in seconds. I use it to trouble shoot the solder joints on perf board projects. 100x magnification is awesome.

Best “macro” phone attachment because of the built in light!
This solved the biggest downfall of most phone closeup attachments—getting the lighting right is almost impossible…unless you have a built in light like this great device. It even helped visualize a splinter in my wife’s foot. Pro tip: vary the iPhone lens you attach to based on how much magnification you need. The wide angle lens gives you the least magnification but the most working distance between the lens and your target. A must buy for any iPhoneographer

Great iPhone microphone
I love this microscope. It easily attaches to my iPhone. I search pennies for varieties and this microscope does the job. It does the work for me and I don’t have strain on my eyes anymore. It’s very easy to use and it’s a great value for the money. I would buy this microscope again!

Awesome and easy to use macro lens for your phone.
This lens is pretty awesome! It is easy to use and the zoom is incredible. You can get some great macro photos with ease and share them quickly since it's all on your phone. Also, there is an LED light that really helps with illuminating the object you are taking a photo of . With this lens you can appreciate the little things in life, literally

Game changer
The addition of the light around the lens is a game changer. It helps with the overall focus of the subject, especially since you have to be right up on it. It magnifies the most of all my current macro lenses and is very easy to use. Super satisfied!!
