Great sound quality for the price
The sound quality of this mic is better than similar priced products on the market and it definitely adds value to your videos. Although the mic itself is good, the dead cat windshield is poor quality, it loses its 'fur' as you touch it. Also, it's not obvious that you need to press the mic to into the mic holder very firmly. I was afraid that I will break it and was about to return the item. Especially as I had no problem whatsoever setting up similar video mics. Thankfully another amazon customer saw my previous post and kindly posted how to do it just as I was about to return the whole thing. It would have been more officiant to receive this practical advice from the seller but I felt that the product itself deserves a good review based on price – quality ratio, so despite this I still gave it 4 stars.

A significant improvement on iphone
Since the pandemic struck, I have been doing a lot of filming/recording using my iPhone XR (for online church services some live streamed and some pre-recorded). I had been pleased with the picture quality but the sound left a little to be desired (even after editing and amplifying) when streaming the videos so I looked to find a microphone that would improve the quality of the audio recordings. To use this on my phone required an extra purchase of a 3.5mm jack to lightning adapter. Having tried it for a pre-recorded video, the sound quality is a step up, even with the microphone about 3m away from me. It was a little louder, but significantly clearer. It may be a while before we live stream a service (as lockdown 2 starts today) so I will have to wait and see how it works there.

Does its job
I've only used this product twice. Once indoors which doesn't count. Once outdoors. I've noticed the audio volume is higher than my dslr without the mic. That's a plus. Outdoors, it does cut out wind noise. Have only used it in moderately windy conditions. At the end of the day, its a cheap product, but for an intro mic, it is performing its duty heroically.

Value for money. A good mic.
Item works as described. Very sensitive mic. I use it on iPhone, so it took me a while to buy the correct connector. The connector must be a recently made MFI certified connector. My older connector bought from Apple store 5 years ago did not work although it was from Apple.

Good value for the price!
I bought this for the purpose of upgrading the built in mic in my phone to a better quality sound. I Everything you need to get this working microphone is included in the kit such as the rotatable phone clip, tripod, all required cables. The best part is the affordability of the microphone for the value that you get in the kit. It works with my DSLR camera, my phone and other devices you own such as a tablet or computer. I am finding the mini extendable tripod very handy, it is portable and you can place it anywhere without having to carry extra equipment with you. It is a good option for bloggers/vloggers to get a good quality sound. I took it to the park on a windy day and was not able to hear much wind in the background of my footage. Great quality and price!
